‘RHOSLC’: Meredith Marks Responds to Fans Who Thinks She Should’ve ‘Stood up’ for Lisa Barlow During Reunion
Lisa Barlow and Meredith Marks are the closest castmates on The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City and often dress similarly. During the reunion following the season, Heather Gay came for Barlow, calling her a bad friend to the jewelry designer. However, Marks didn’t say anything, leading fans to assume she believed Gay. Following the final part of the reunion, Marks clarifies why she “disengaged” instead of standing up for her friend.
Meredith Marks and Lisa Barlow are close friends
Tequila business owner Lisa Barlow and jewelry designer Meredith Marks were good friends before The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City began and are the closest of any cast members.
Therefore, Marks opened up to Barlow before telling anyone about her separation from husband Seth. Additionally, the ladies are often grouped together due to their similar looks and style.
When Whitney Rose spread information Mary Cosby told her about the two being scared of Jen Shah, a claim they deny, the friends contemplated distancing themselves from the rest of the group.
However, they ended up forgiving Rose, which upset Shah. While she and Barlow are on good terms, Marks feels Shah wants her to choose sides and doesn’t like how the housewife spoke about her marriage.
Barlow bumped heads with Heather Gay and Whitney Rose during reunion
Still feeling slighted over Barlow’s remark that she didn’t know Heather Gay and referred to her as a “good-time girl,” the well-liked housewife continually came for the tequila brand owner at the reunion.
They argued over how the Mormon church viewed divorce and Barlow seemingly siding with Shah over Marks. Additionally, Rose vocalized her annoyance with the tequila brand owner reportedly calling her and her husband “swingers” and belief that Barlow looked down on her.
During a touch-up break, Gay went at Barlow for not being a “good friend” to Marks, and the jewelry designer didn’t say anything with a blank expression on her face.
She then eventually walked away from the arguing with Rose. Her behavior bothered a few fans, namely one, who called her out in an Instagram caption.
Marks responds to fans who think she should’ve defended Barlow
Responding to a picture of the jewelry designer thanking the audience for supporting the first season, a follower noted they wished she would’ve “stood up for Lisa a little bit.”
In a lengthy reply, Marks explained that viewers only see “snippets” and made it clear where she stood with her friend during the reunion. However, she claimed the two don’t have expectations of fighting each other’s battles, although she insists they have defended their friendship before and are currently on “good” terms.
Additionally, Marks acknowledged the segment that portrayed her “just sitting there” while Barlow and Gay went back and forth. She claimed the break happened after 10 hours of filming, and she took the time to “zone out and gather my thoughts.”
Marks closed by explaining she already told the ladies she wasn’t paying attention to the conversation.
