Rihanna and ASAP Rocky Were the Cutest Couple at British Fashion Awards as He Sweetly Honors His ‘Lady’ in Touching Speech
London’s biggest night in fashion celebrated outstanding contributions to the style industry over the past year. Hosted by the British Fashion Council Foundation, the 2024 British Fashion Awards took place in London’s iconic Royal Albert Hall and saw a star-studded guest list wearing their best. A$AP Rocky received a special honor during the fundraiser, bringing his partner Rihanna for a fun-filled date night.

A$AP Rocky received the Cultural Innovator Award from The British Fashion Council Foundation. Presented by French fashion designer Michèle Lamy, the award went to the American-Barbadian rapper due to his bold style ventures from the last year, including his menswear label’s debut at Paris Fashion Week and viral campaigns for Bottega Veneta. When A$AP Rocky took the stage, he stated, “This is surreal right now. This is crazy. It’s about f***ing time, you know what I’m saying?”
Rihanna watched from their seats with a huge smile as her partner of over four years continued, “About five years ago I was invited here by my lady ’cause she was accepting an award,” A$AP Rocky explained, referencing their joint appearance at the Fashion Awards in 2019. “I was just in the crowd … thinking to myself, ‘I could do this s**t too. I could do it too — I need one of those awards. That’s gonna look real nice on the shelf.'” The audience laughed as he animatedly joked on stage.
Growing serious, A$AP Rocky stated, “But honestly though, I’m very honored. Being a cultural innovator means so much to me, especially being a rapper and having endeavors in the fashion industry. And I think that the lines have definitely merged now. Thank you to the British Fashion Council. So to all the young designers who was nominated today who may or may not have won tonight, I just hope that this is a token of encouragement to show you that you can do this shit too.”

Rihanna beamed throughout A$AP Rocky’s speech with fans taking to Instagram to comment, “How cute Rihanna’s look of joy says it all,” and “Awwwww well deserved. GOAT for a reason.” The parents of two sons went all out for the big night. A$AP Rocky and Rihanna held hands as they walked the red carpet in style. The 36-year-old rapper wore an oversized navy suit by Bottega Veneta with a red tie and white button-up.
Rihanna donned one of the most exciting looks of the night. The 36-year-old singer and businesswoman wore an icy blue fur look from Christian Lacroix’s Fall/Winter 2002 couture collection. The furry wrap dress and shawl showed off her curves. She accented the piece with black tights, pointed-toe heels, and black leather opera gloves. Her pièce de résistance, a blue furry hat, completed the wild ensemble.
