‘Riverdale’ Stars Lili Reinhart and Cole Sprouse Reportedly Broke Up Before Quarantine
Once again there is a report that Riverdale co-stars have broken up. This time sources talked about the timing of their breakup in relation to the pandemic. Find out what reportedly happened between Lili Reinhart and Cole Sprouse and more rumors before the report.
Cole Sprouse and Lili Reinhart previously denied breakup rumors
It was previously reported that Reinhart and Sprouse broke up in July 2019 after dating for two years. “Lili and Cole broke-up earlier this summer,” an unknown source told E! News. “The two are not living together this season.”
The source said they were “intentionally keeping their distance from the other.” Now they’re on “much better” terms.
The stars later addressed the rumor on Instagram. “BREAKING: A reliable source has confirmed that none of you know sh*t,” read the caption of Reinhart’s post. She posted a W magazine cover with Sprouse from their joint interview.
Sprouse made his own post with the caption, “UNPRECEDENTED: Cole Sprouse and Lili Reinhart consume the flesh of ‘reliable sources’ to fuel their bacchanalian sex cult.”
Now the couple is facing rumors that they broke up again. This time another celebrity was brought into the mix.
Sprouse recently addressed a rumor that he is dating Kaia Gerber
There was a new rumor that Sprouse stopped dating Reinhart and began dating model, Kaia Gerber. He addressed people talking about his personal life in an Instagram story on April 19.
“I tolerate a lot of rumors and slander from people online claiming to be my fans,” he wrote according to Elite Daily. “Fans who feel entitled to my privacy precisely because I never indulge them. But attacking my friends, baseless accusations, leaking my address and sending death threats are all qualities of insanity and fanaticism.”
He continued, “When I first stepped into a public relationship this was one of the foreseeable consequences. And while I truly never intended to indulge any part of my private life to the ravenous horde, it’s clear my restraint in updating them has allowed them to push their own agenda onto my habits and lifestyle.”
Sprouse didn’t directly confirm or deny the rumors. But he made it clear that he wasn’t happy about them.
The stars reportedly broke up before quarantine
The couple is reportedly no longer together, and have been spending time during the pandemic apart. Page Six reports a source confirmed that the couple is no longer together.
“Cole and Lili split before the pandemic hit, and have been quarantining separately. They remain good friends,” the insider claimed.
Skeet Ulrich, who plays FP Jones on Riverdale, previously answered questions on Instagram Live with his girlfriend, Megan Blake Irwin. Someone asked, “Do you think that Cole Sprouse and Lili Reinhart are a cute couple?” Ulrich answered, “I think they were a very cute couple.” Irwin then repeated, “They were a very cute couple” and emphasized “were.”
Sprouse and Reinhart have yet to address the breakup rumor publicly. But yet again they are followed with rumors that their relationship is over.
