He’s an incredible speaker, rapper, performer, and role model. Some fans, however, know RM as the down to earth, “God of Destruction,” according to a definition written on Urban Dictionary. Here’s how the BTS ARMY describes Kim Namjoon, also known as the K-pop idol, RM.

RM is a rapper and the leader of the K-pop group, BTS

He’s a rapper and award-winning performer. RM is also the mastermind behind BTS songs like “Boy With Luv,” “Serendipity,” and “Respect,” taking a role in the writing process since the boy band’s debut. (This was unique, at the time, for the idols to actually write and perform their own songs.)

He’s a genius, with a reported IQ of 148. However, most fans love him for being heartfelt and sincere. The Urban Dictionary definition for the names “RM” and “Kim Namjoon” definitely reflect the fans’ love for this K-pop performer.

Urban Dictionary describes RM as ‘my president’

He’s known for quite a few things. He’s a talented rapper, he’s a wiz at foreign languages, and he’s also the leader of BTS. For fans describing him on Urban Dictionary, though, one of the first things they mention is his stage name change, which happened after BTS’ debut sa a K-pop group.

“The name of one member in the lejindairy group BTS! His real name is Namjoon and his old stage name used to be Rap Monster but now it is RM. He’s the leader in the group,” one fan wrote on Urban Dictionary. By searching “Kim Namjoon” in Urban Dictionary, fans see a similar definition.

“23 year old male from South Korean boy band, BTS. Rapper, leader, and brains of the group ([he] has IQ of 148) He also is fluent in the english language. He also has the nickname, ‘God of destruction’ because he is so clumsy. Very down to earth when it comes to lyrics in various songs speaking of national problems to just liking a person,” the definition reads.

An alternative definition for “Kim Namjoon,” just describes him as, “my president.”

RM, as well as other members of BTS release music as solo artists, with RM using the same stage name to release new songs. Music by BTS, including the single “Stay Gold” and Map of the Soul: 7, is available for streaming on platforms like Spotify and Apple Music.
