3 Questions To Put Kody and Robyn Brown in The Hot-Seat During ‘Sister Wives’ Tell-All
Sister Wives season 19 has been the longest installment of the TLC series in the show’s history. However, interest in the conflict brought to the family by Robyn and Kody Brown’s relationship has piqued viewers. The series tell-all promises lots of big news for the Brown family, but all roads lead to Kody and Robyn. Will they be pushed on the installment to answer three big questions?
3. How close were Robyn and Kody before marriage?
In a tell-all preview of Sister Wives season 19, Christine Brown sits down with series host Sukanya Krishnan. It’s then that the reality star shares her thoughts about Robyn and Kody Brown’s romance before marriage.
Christine said, “We’ve all seen their engagement photos. I wonder how close they got before they were married?”
Her commentary was followed up with Krishnan asking Kody if he had any physical relationships before Meri. His response? He told Sukanya he was “shutting” that question down.
This piggybacks on speculation for years that Kody did not drive five hours each way to visit Robyn on the weekends just to sleep on her sofa. While this claim was never confirmed, their intimate engagement photo shows a couple who appear to have that type of relationship.
In the image, which hangs in the couple’s home, Kody sits on his white Lexus sports car, while Robyn presses up against him as the sun sets. She was caught by TLC’s cameras speaking of the good times she shared with Kody in that very car before he sold it during season 18.
2. The real reason Kody needs to constantly defend his relationship with Robyn on ‘Sister Wives
All of his other wives have left him behind, and Kody Brown is with the only woman he claims to have ever truly loved. So why does he feel the need to defend his relationship with Robyn Brown all the time?
During season 19, Kody said in a confessional that he would always put Robyn ahead of everyone else, including his adult children. He referenced this while speaking of repairing his broken relationships with the children he shares with Meri, Janelle, and Christine Brown.
“My children will always be my children and the door will always be open to them,” he said of his ongoing estrangement from many of his adult kids. “They’ve got to come through that door.”
“I’m going to be holding a hand out for that,” petty Kody added. “But I’m going to be holding this hand that’s next to me, and I won’t let go of that hand. I will not cut off Robyn to have a relationship with my children.”
In response, Janelle clarified, “Kody has this idea that somehow if he leaves Robyn home, he’s going to be able to come to these family gatherings. And that’s so far from the truth.”
She concluded, “Kody is alienated from 90 to 95 percent of his children. He is not really wanted at events. He’s not coming regardless of who he brings or doesn’t bring with him.
1. Does Robyn take any accountability for the breakdown of the family?
The answer to this question is one that most Sister Wives fans would love answered. While the Brown family wasn’t without its problems before Robyn was introduced, after her arrival, the family faced a breakdown.
From the start, Kody spent the majority of his time with Robyn and her children. She said that was so she, Kody, and the children could foster a relationship as a family.
However, throughout their time in Las Vegas and later, in Flagstaff, Arizona, Robyn had the bulk of Kody’s time. Therefore, fans would love to hear Robyn’s take on whether or not she has any accountability for the family’s breakdown.
In a Reddit post, fans want to know: “Did she ever foster relationships between Kody’s other wives and children ahead of her own?” They also want to know if Robyn is happy that she has Kody all to herself.
“How about: Are you happy now?” wrote another Redditor. A final fan questioned, “What was your original goal to be the only wife or the head wife?”
Sister Wives is on hiatus and returns to TLC in the Spring of 2025. It has not been revealed by TLC how many episodes are left this season before the Tell-All airs.
