Since they first went public with their relationship, there has been a ton of speculation about Prince Harry and Meghan, Duchess of Sussex. However, due to royal protocol, the pair were never able to confirm or deny the various rumors and allegations that were thrown toward them.

Meghan, who was used to controlling her own narrative as an actor, found this to be an unbearable way to live. Since announcing their resignation from the British royal family, Meghan has been embroiled in a privacy lawsuit against Mail on Sunday and Associated Press Limited. As the duchess has taken on the tabloid, some of her true feelings about royal life have been revealed through court documents.

Still, the Sussexes have remained relatively quiet about what they endured. Now, royal experts Carolyn Durand and Omid Scobie are set to debut tell-all book, Finding Freedom which reportedly tells the complete story of what the Sussexes experienced. Royal fans are convinced the Sussxes’ worked on Finding Freedom behind the scenes.

The British royal family is very nervous about ‘Finding Freedom’

According to Amazon, Finding Freedom which is set to debut on Aug 11 is, “the first, epic and true story of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s life together.” Considering the statements Meghan has made in her court documents about feeling unsupported and unprotected in the royal family, royal staffers and aides are super nervous about the book’s release.

Durand and Scobie were very close to the Sussexwes during their royal tenure, and because Meghan, in particular, was villainized in the press for her “otherness” they wanted the opportunity to shine a new light on her. In doing so, the royal family might be villainized. A source told The Sun,

They are worried William especially will be portrayed in a bad light. This sort of family spat shouldn’t be out there in public. This shouldn’t happen to future monarchs. The book could be the most damaging thing to the Royal Family since Prince Diana’s interview on Panorama with Martin Bashir. The concern is it will somehow paint [William] as an unfeeling baddie against kind and philanthropic Harry and Meghan. The aides are privately worried about it. Unsympathetic, unfeeling and unsupportive are the words being used but of course no one knows exactly what’s in it.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle made a statement about ‘Finding Freedom’

It’s no secret that the Sussexes didn’t exactly leave the royal family on good terms. The tension between them and Cambridges at their final royal engagement, Commonwealth Day was palpable.

However, in the past several months, Prince Harry and Prince William have made an effort to repair their fractured brotherly bond. No one wants to watch that progress get flushed down the drain. As a result, the Sussexes have distanced themself from Finding Freedom as much as possible.

“The Duke and Duchess of Sussex were not interviewed and did not contribute to Finding Freedom,” the Sussexes’ spokesperson stated. “This book is based on the authors’ own experiences as members of the royal press corps and their own independent reporting.”

This is why royal fans are convinced Meghan Markle and Prince Harry contributed to ‘Finding Freedom’

Durand and Scobie have also denied the Sussexes played any role in Finding Freedom. “The book doesn’t claim to have any interviews with Harry and Meghan,” Scobie told The Times. “And nor do we.” However, royal fans are convinced that this isn’t true.

The royal couple has been accused of trying to steal the spotlight and everything in between, but one Sussex fans believe that this obsession over whether the duo contributed to the book or not is all projection.

“Perhaps the tabloids are accusing Harry & Meghan of cooperating with “Finding Freedom” because so many hostile “palace sources” have cooperated with hateful books about Meghan & Harry #projection,” they tweeted.
