Prince William and Kate Middleton were married in 2011 and today have three children Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis. Royal fans have watched the Cambridge kiddos grow before their very eyes and it’s a delight every time we see them out and about with their parents.

But because the royals have been doing fewer appearances and attending less in-person events due to the coronavirus COVID-19 pandemic, many fans are wondering when we’ll see the royal children again.

The last time Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis made public appearances

One of the last times royal fans saw the Cambridges’ youngest child, Prince Louis, in public was on the red carpet for a special pantomime performance at London’s Palladium Theatre on Dec. 11, 2020.

Prince George and Princess Charlotte, however, attended a half marathon with their dad at Queen Elizabeth II’s Sandringham Estate on June 21, 2021.

George was also seen the following month with both of his parents attending the UEFA Euro 2020 Championship at Wembley Stadium.

The next time fans will likely see Prince William and Kate’s children

The Express noted that the event where fans can expect to see all three of the Cambridge children together is Trooping the Colour, which is the annual public celebration of Queen Elizabeth’s birthday.

Thousands line the streets in front of the monarch’s Buckingham Palace residence and several members of the royal family watch the festivities from the famous balcony. However, in this day and age of COVID, the last two years saw a muted celebration at Windsor Castle instead of London to avoid large gatherings of people. The event is set to return in 2022 as the queen marks her historic platinum jubilee.

Trooping the Colour is usually held on the second Saturday in June but this year it will take place on Thursday, June 2. More than 1,400 soldiers, 200 horses, and 400 musicians will take part in the parade.

As long as COVID doesn’t spoil the plans, Will and Kate’s kids are expected to make an appearance with the rest of the family on the balcony.

It’s not known yet if Meghan and Prince Harry will attend that affair

George, Charlotte, and Louis’ uncle, Prince Harry, has been back in the U.K. twice since he and Meghan stepped down as senior royals. One time was for his grandfather Prince Philip‘s funeral and the other was for the unveiling of his late mother Princess Diana’s statue. Meghan has not been back since completing her final royal duties in early 2020 and many believe when the Sussexes do return together they won’t receive the warmest welcome from the public.

For that reason, it’s not known if the Duke and Duchess of Sussex would even want to make the trip or if the family would want them there as it could cause a distraction. We’ll just have to wait and see what they decide.
