Royal Fans React to Prince William and Kate Middleton’s Christmas Card: ‘You’ve Made It Through Together’
Prince William and Kate Middleton don’t show too many photos of their family. While fans are well aware that the Prince and Princess of Wales have three kids, William and Kate do their best to keep their children out of the spotlight. However, every year, the Wales family releases a Christmas card, and fans look forward to seeing a picture of the five of them together.
This year, the family released their photo just under a week before Christmas, and after the difficult year the family has had, fans were delighted to see them all looking happy.
Prince William and Kate Middleton’s Christmas card brought joy to royal fans
Back in January, Kate underwent abdominal surgery and was out of the spotlight for two months. She then released a video explaining that she had been diagnosed with cancer and that she would require chemotherapy. The public and press gave her space, and she spent most of the year out of the spotlight. When Kate was cancer free, she made a video message announcing so, which featured her husband and kids.
This year’s Christmas card, which was shared to Instagram and X, was a photograph taken on the day the Wales family filmed the cancer-free video, and William and Kate released it on December 19. Fans were thrilled to wish the family a happy holidays.
“It’s been a rough 2024 but you’ve made it through together. 2025 will be full of health and joy,” one person commented.
“[Perfect] Christmas card for everyone who watched the video. I hope the joy of Princess [Catherine’s] recovery makes this [the] most special one,” someone else wrote.
“You’ve all come through so much this last year… May you all have a peaceful [and] healthy 2025,” another user added.
Prince William and Kate Middleton will attend Christmas at Sandringham
William and Kate will continue their family’s annual tradition of spending Christmas at Sandringham, as always. The family will likely attend Christmas Day mass as usual, then celebrate with King Charles, Camilla Parker Bowles, and others.
However, a number of royals will not be participating in the royal family festivities this year, including Prince Andrew, whom is at odds with Charles over a number of things. Andrew’s family — Sarah Ferguson, Princess Beatrice, and Princess Eugenie — are also reportedly not attending Christmas. Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, as expected, will not attend, either. Still, the Wales family is likely elated over Kate’s recovery and won’t concern themselves with the absences of the other royals.
