Fans of The Real Housewives of New Jersey didn’t think the cast could get any more petty. They were wrong. Season 14 is just getting messier and messier. As the show closes in on its season finale, there has been no resolution to the drama between Teresa Giudice and Melissa Gorga. Now, fans watched Jennifer Aydin and Danielle Cabral throw hands during a charity event. The most recent episode, which resulted in Aydin and Cabral’s brief suspension, could indicate Bravo plans to set the old cast loose and find brand new New Jersey residents to continue the series.

Jennifer Aydin and Danielle Cabral’s ‘RHONJ’ altercation has fans guessing the old cast won’t return for another season

While some fans saw Jennifer and Danielle’s fight on the most recent episode of The Real Housewives of New Jersey as a bit of additional drama, others are taking it more seriously. Some viewers think the physical altercation could be the end of the franchise as we know it.

It is not a secret that viewers have been largely disgusted with how season 14 of the series has progressed. The season feels inorganic, with the cast split along loyalty lines. Now that grievances have boiled over to physical violence, some fans think the cast is about to experience an epic shakeup. It wouldn’t be the first time Bravo has started a Housewives installment over with a clean slate.

Bravo has ditched an entire cast in the past

The fight between Danielle and Jennifer is one of the more dramatic moments in the season so far. Some fans see it as the final straw for the cast. Still, rumors that a complete overhaul is in the works have been floating around for weeks.

The rumor mill kicked into high gear when Bravo decided to scrap the reunion special because the ladies of the Garden State couldn’t manage to be in the same room with each other. Low whispers of a cast change were circulating weeks before, though, thanks to the shortened season and canceled trip. The ditched reunion feels like the final piece of the puzzle. A canceled reunion spelled the end of a Housewives installment as we knew it once already. The Real Housewives of New York City had its season 13 reunion canceled amid sluggish ratings and racism allegations. The show did return to Bravo for season 14 but with an all-new cast.

Could Bravo use the time between seasons to find a new RHONJ cast? While we would be sad to see some of the longtime housewives go, a new look at the Garden State might be good. One thing is certain: the series can’t possibly hobble along for another season with its cast refusing to sit next to each other. Something will have to change. We doubt the ladies of New Jersey have spent their off-season mending fences.

We won’t know if the old cast will return for several months. Fans of the series are keeping their eyes peeled for clues about a cast shakeup, and we’ll be keeping an eye on it, too.
