Trixie Mattel and Katya discussed ‘Operation Varsity Blues’ for their YouTube Netflix series, ‘I Like To Watch’

Katya is a mountain biking vampire witch from the future, but she’s also one of the stars of the Netflix YouTube series, I Like To Watch.

For one video, the performers discussed the Netflix series, Operation Varsity Blues, which discussed the fraudulent methods used to get children of the rich and famous into well-known colleges around the United States.

“Hey Katya, did you go to college,” Trixie Mattel asked her co-host. “Did you go to Boston University?”

“I think so,” Katya said before laughing. “I wanted to be a therapist.”

Both of the drag performers laughed. Katya actually attended and graduated from the Massachusetts College of Art and Design. RuPaul’s Drag Race Fandom reported that she briefly attended Boston University before transferring.

What did Trixie Mattel attend college for?

Although Katya somewhat explored her high school years during one episode of UNHhhh, the artist also shared that she learned some karate moves from her father, who is a legit “karate master.” Trixie Mattel, on the other hand, claimed she was a good kid.

“I gotta be a fan of musical theater,” Trixie Mattel responded. “Is if that wasn’t gay enough, I then went to beauty school.”

Trixie Mattel dropped out of beauty school to compete on RuPaul’s Drag Race, but not before picking up a few tips and tricks. She put someone’s hair for a video with Buzzfeed and even mentioned rolling nail polish before using it to get rid of bubbles.

Since their appearances on RuPaul’s reality competition series, this duo went on to appear in several YouTube and television programs together. That includes the Viceland series, The Trixie and Katya Show, which premiered its final episode in 2018.
