It’s another day in the Werk Room for these busy bees

Dahlia is gone and the queens are talking about how real this whole competition is. Brita wants to live up to her New York City legacy, while Nicky Doll has something to prove to Ru, the judges, and herself.

Today, the mini-challenge is bee-related, raising awareness for the decreasing global bee population. The queens have to dress in their bee best and shake their stingers to the beehive jive. After a dancing moment, Gigi is the winner of the challenge.

RuPaul shares that Drag Race and sports actually have a lot in common. They’re both competitions. They both have balls. The ball these queens will be in, however, involves three looks, one made of actual balls. That means there will be 36 looks on the runway this week. The queens rush to get started on their looks.

It’s all balls to the walls for this maxi-challenge

Each queen is constructing their “Balls to the Wall” look. Gigi says she’s a little intimidated by Nicky, but she’s got a concept in her head. Jan talks about her youth as a soccer player and how that influenced how people viewed her.

Meanwhile, Brita doesn’t even know where to begin. She finally gets an idea from another queen to do a pineapple look. Rock M. Sakura is actually wrapping herself in duct tape to make a cast of her body. It’s this cast that she’ll build her look on.

Jaida is running into issues because even though she has a fully released concept, she discovers there aren’t enough balls to do what she wants to. She improvises and instead of a gown, she’ll have her legs showing.

Aiden, on the other hand, has a very small garment and is pretty much done. She goes to Jan to talk about it and Jan tells her that it’s kind of like a referee. Aiden didn’t even think of that! It’s perfect. She’s leaving it as is.

Aiden Zhaine is feeling pretty confident about her referee look

Although Nicky sometimes struggles to should her silly side to RuPaul, in the Werk Room, she’s twirling her wig around, even comparing herself to Ellen DeGeneres. It’s almost time for the mainstage and the queens are unwinding with a makeup-induced chat.

Rock M. Sakura finally addresses the similarities of her makeup to Trixie Mattel and Kim Chi’s, but she explains that it really stems from people making racist remarks toward her. She’s since grown from that, though, and is ready to give a few different looks on the mainstage.

The queens bring 36 looks to the runway

With a Lady Baller, Basketball Wife Realness, and Balls to the Wall eleganza looks, these queens head to the mainstage. Leslie is getting her life, cheering on the queens and making jokes with the rest of the judges. And the contestants, honestly, do very well.

Of the top three (Jaida, Gigi, and Nicky,) Gigi is this week’s winner. Surprisingly, Aiden Zhaine is safe, leaving Brita and Rock M. Sakura as the bottom two. After a spirited lipsync to “S&M” by Rihanna, and plenty of tasteful commentary from Leslie Jones, Brita is safe and Rock sashays away.

Rock M. Sakura walks off the stage and starts crying. Still, her message on the mirror was filled with nothing but love for her season 12 sisters. Now, 11 contestants remain.
