Denali sashayed away from ‘RuPaul’s Drag Race’ season 13
Rosé is upset that her closest friend, Denali, leaving. It was even more difficult for Olivia Lux to lipsync against her in her drag. Kandy brings up that so many people voted for Olivia to go home, but she claims she wasn’t bothered. Kandy isn’t buying it.
Even though people have had some highs and lows and it’s still anyone’s game — Symone’s won three challenges now. The pressure is on for the queen to stay in the top and win the whole competition.
For the mini-challenge, the queens are playing “Are You Smarter Than The Pit Crew,” where they answer questions about Drag Race alumni and past episodes. Kandy Muse is the winner. Then, RuPaul announced that for the maxi-challenge, the queens will create and brand their own soft drinks.
Jaida Essence Hall says hi to the ‘RuPaul’s Drag Race’ season 13 contestants
Tina Turner has a whole mini-series planned for burning-themed soda. Rosé’s plan is to brand herself as a perfectionist that falls short, but it doesn’t exactly make sense to Tina.
Utica’s plan, to lick her can, doesn’t exactly make sense to the other queens. Symone says she sometimes gets stuck in her character. Gottmik is ready to look insane with her delusional brand.
Her scene plan is a little out of order, though. Then, the queens get some surprising she-mail — from Jaida Essence Hall. She offers encouragement and advice for the contestants.
The ‘RuPaul’s Drag Race’ contestants film their soda commercials
Then, it’s time to film the commercial in front of the green screen. Tina Burner is up first but with costume changes, the Pit Crew, and a wording change from Ross Matthews, it’s a challenge.
Rosé is ready to poke fun at herself and she’s got Ross Matthews and Carson Kressley laughing. Olivia Lux, who was in the bottom last week, needs to sell her brand and, with a giant smile, she does.
Symone is next, with her soda “sweet tooth,” and the judges are laughing, whispering that she’s always funny. Utica leaves the directors a little confused and even drops the soda can in the confusion.
Kandy Muse is next and she’s running back and forth to make sure everything is done. Gottmik is ready to do a character version of herself but with a farting scene, Kressley whispers that he has no idea what’s happening.
On the runway, category is ‘BEAST Couture’
After filming their commercials, the queens head back to the Werk Room to get ready for the runway. They talk about their “branding” outside of Drag Race, and Rosé says she’s known as a comedy queen in New York. Tina Burner thinks that’s funny.
Kandy Muse reveals that she was beaten up in seventh grade for being gay to the point where she had surgery on her arm. That could be why she’s so quick to defend herself, even when she got in that fight with Tamisha.
Meanwhile, the queens get ready for the “beast” themed runway and Rosé is giving Gottmik serious “troll under a bridge” vibes. Then, the queens bring it to the runway to watch their commercial.
Of all the critiques, Gottmik’s are the worst, but they’re still having a hard time understanding Utica’s concept. They’ve definitely had enough of Tina’s yellow, orange, and red motif.
Complete with her foxy outfit, Symone is named the winner of this week’s challenge. Then, Rosé is also named the winner! Utica Queen and Tina Burner land in the bottom two. After lipsyncing to “My Humps” by the Black Eyed Peas, Tina Burner sashays away.
