Ryan Seacrest Said Jennifer Lopez Changed the Way He Lives His Life
Ryan Seacrest and Jennifer Lopez worked together on American Idol for five years. In that time, they became friendly. Seacrest said Lopez impressed him with the way she seemed to be able to eat what she wanted when he denied himself. He said Lopez encouraged him to change the way he approached food.

Lopez’s friends say she loves to cook for people. Leah Remini, who said she often has sleepovers at Lopez’s home, said Lopez makes her things like chicken, rice, and chocolate chip cookies. Lopez enjoys all these foods herself, which impressed Seacrest.
“Jennifer is obviously in great shape,” he told InStyle. “She stays fit, she works out, but she eats what she wants, and I deprive myself.”
Seacrest said Lopez encouraged him to eat more foods in moderation. He admitted this was harder for him than it appeared to be for her.
“[S]he said, ‘Why are you depriving? Just have a bite of the cookie, Ryan. You don’t have to have the whole cookie,’” he said. “And so I live my life now trying to think about having a bite of the cookie, not the whole cookie. It’s not going so well.”
Ben Affleck called her ‘superhuman’ for being able to eat whatever she wants
Ben Affleck, who married Lopez in 2022, supported Seacrest’s claim that she ate what she wanted.
“Let me tell you something that’s going to upset you,” Affleck said on The Drew Barrymore Show. “Jennifer just eats whatever she wants. Whatever she wants — pizza, cookies, ice cream.”
Affleck described her as superhuman. While he also did what he could to stay healthy, he didn’t understand how she maintained her youthful glow.
“She works out. I work out, too! But I don’t magically appear to be 20 years old, you know what I mean, with the perfect skin and the whole thing,” he said. “There’s no taking away the work ethic. The work ethic is real; the discipline is very real. But also, the superhuman thing is real. She’s the most gorgeous woman in the world. She looks spectacular.”
Ryan Seacrest was once denied entry to Jennifer Lopez’s birthday party
While Seacrest and Lopez have a friendly relationship, he said he was denied entry to her birthday party in 2019. He RSVP’d without realizing it was on a Wednesday night in Miami, but he still decided to go to support his friend and former coworker.
“I’ve known her for a long time,” he said on Live With Kelly and Ryan the next day, per People. “I’m going, I’m getting down there; I’m getting back in time [for Live With Kelly and Ryan] and I’m gonna be there because I got the personal invite.”
He flew in, but Seacrest said he ran into a problem the moment he arrived at the party.
“I get to the front … proud, beaming, smiling,” he said. “And [the guy] has a list and I see there are a bunch of Ryans … and he says, ‘Well, you’re not on the list.’”
Luckily, Seacrest said he was the first person to arrive. After a quick phone call, he gained entry to the party.
