Sacha Baron Cohen Once Gave a Press Conference as Borat — Here’s What We Learned From It
Sacha Baron Cohen is so committed to his comedy that he doesn’t stop playing his characters when he stops filming. When the first Borat movie was released in theaters, Cohen gave his press conference as Borat. This event took place Oct. 20, 2006 at Shutters in Santa Monica, California.
Borat: Subsequent Movie Film is coming to Amazon Prime Oct. 23, 2020. Perhaps Cohen will make more appearances as the fictional character to promote the film. Here’s what we learned from his first press conference.
The real reason it took Sacha Baron Cohen so long to make ‘Borat: Subsequent Movie Film’
Even before the original Borat came out, people anticipated a sequel. However, Borat already knew back then that it would be a while before he could film a sequel.
“I, eh, not sure exactly when I will next make a movie film, because for the next 18 months my country’s camera is fully booked for make other television shows,” Borat said. “This include programs such as Kazakhstan’s Next Top Prostitute and the comedy film about the person who waited very late in his life to make sexy time. It’s called The 4-year-old Virgin. Almost 5 and he never make achee. Little explosion.”

Cohen gave Borat his big break on Da Ali G Show, and then Borat became a movie star. You’d think he’d be grateful to Cohen, but no.

For many Americans, the first movie was the first time they met Borat. He described his family and background.

Fame didn’t change Borat
The popularity of Borat may have made Subsequent Movie Film different for Cohen. It didn’t change Borat in Kazakhstan though.
“You know, I try to stay a normal person,” Borat said. “I like to relax like any other married man: I shoot dogs, I like to drink fermented horse urine with the boys. I just a regular guy. But, I am proud of my status. I am now the fourth most famous person in all of Kazakhstan. But, it’s not just me that has changed. Kazakhstan has improved very much since I return from U, S and A. We recently introduced the death penalty from your country. Great idea! We give it for serious crimes such as murder, cleaning anus with our national flag and baking bagels.”
He had a very famous stalker
Pamela Anderson appeared in Borat when he attended her autograph signing. It didn’t end well.
“I must make clear this lady, Pamela, has start to stalk me as you say,” Borat said. “Already this week she has sent me three love messages through her lawyer, saying sexy things like, ‘I must not go further than 30 miles from her house, mail her dirty antipants or say on my MySpace bloggings that I want to make romance insider her.’ Pamela, if you watch this, leave me alones.”
