‘Jersey Shore’s Sammi ‘Sweetheart’ Giancola Had to Postpone Her Wedding, But Her Old Roommates Still Don’t Think They’ll Be Invited
Plans worldwide — including the production of some of our favorite shows — have been canceled or postponed because of the coronavirus (COVID-19). Former Jersey Shore star Sammi “Sweetheart” Giancola had to postpone her wedding to fiancé Christian Biscardi due to the pandemic.
While none of her Jersey Shore roommates were on Giancola’s guest list, fans are wondering if she will reconsider her invitations now that the wedding has been postponed.
Sammi’ Sweetheart’ Giancola’s wedding pushed back
Giancola gained notoriety on Jersey Shore for her tumultuous relationship with Ronnie Ortiz-Magro. After their on-again-off-again relationship ended, the 33-year-old stepped out of the MTV spotlight and started to date Biscardi.
Giancola and Biscardi dated for two years. He proposed to the Jersey Shore alum on Mar. 5, 2019. Giancola shared photos of the proposal on Insagram with the caption “I get to marry my other half, best friend and soulmate.”
Despite not being a part of Jersey Shore: Family Vacation, Giancola’s former roommates were excited when she announced her engagement and just as excited when she posted photos that she had found a wedding dress.
Now, in light of the coronavirus, Giancola and Biscardi have had to postpone their nuptials. The original date of the wedding was unknown, but Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi hinted that it was coming up in a recent interview. Now, a source tells Us Weekly that the wedding has been “postponed until September.”
Will the ‘Jersey Shore’ cast attend Sam’s wedding?
When Giancola’s wedding does eventually take place, fans are wondering if her former roommates will be invited to attend.
Leading up to Giancola’s wedding, many members of the Jersey Shore cast spoke out about getting an invitation. Polizzi, Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino, Jenni “JWoww” Farley, and Deena Cortese didn’t think they were going to get an invitation. Giancola did not want to be part of Jersey Shore: Family Vacation for fear of entering into “possibly toxic” situations. It’s possible that she didn’t invite her former co-stars to her wedding for the very same reasons.
Neither Polizzi nor any of her other roommates received an invitation for the original wedding date. While it’s not likely that they’ll be invited to Giancola’s rescheduled ceremony in September, there’s still time for extra invitations to be sent out!
DJ Pauly D and Vinny Guadagnino said they would go
In an interview with Us Weekly, Vinny Guadagnino explained how he and his Jersey Shore castmates only speak with Giancola when a “big life event” happens. That includes birthdays and, at the time of the interview, her engagement.
After Giancola’s engagement, Guadagnino and Pauly DelVecchio joked about not yet receiving their invitation to Giancola’s wedding ceremony. Both roommates said they would attend Giancola’s wedding if she did decide to invite them.
Regardless of whether or not they end up getting an invitation to Giancola’s wedding, the Jersey Shore cast still considers her “part of the fam,” as DelVecchio says. “She’s always welcome,” Guadaginino added.
Since Giancola had to push her wedding back, she has plenty of extra time to reconsider who is on the guest list. Maybe now the Jersey Shore crew will be invited!
