Samuel L. Jackson movies
Jackson originally rose to fame with movies such as Coming to America, Goodfellas, and Patriot Games. However, his most iconic performances were yet to come. Jackson collaborated with legendary filmmaker Quentin Tarantino more than any other actor. His performance as Jules Winnfield in Pulp Fiction remains one of the most iconic performances of his career. He got an Oscar nomination for the role but lost out to Martin Landau in Ed Wood. However, Jackson’s movies would only continue to grow his career.
He’s also recognized as Mace Windu in the Star Wars prequels, which audiences found incredibly enjoyable. However, most modern audiences know him for playing Nick Fury in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). He’s so iconic in this role, the character’s likeness was changed to match the actor’s in other mediums.

The Graham Norton Show brought Jackson onto the show as a guest to discuss Star Wars and other aspects of his career. The legendary actor had the show’s host, audience, and fellow guests bursting into laughter throughout the interview. Graham Norton asked Jackson if he watches his own movies. He hilariously responded how he knows his movies will always make at least $1,000 in ticket sales.
“Yes, I do,” Jackson said. “Like more, religiously. I do. I watch them at home. I go to the theater. I know when I have a movie that’s opening, I know it’s going to make at least $1,000 that weekend because I buy $1,000 worth of tickets. I give them to the church or I give them to somebody and their kids go.”
Jackson continued: “But, I go to the movie after the movie’s been open for a moment. To see what normal people are saying or doing while they’re watching the film to see how they react to it. When you go to a premiere, I mean everybody’s there to kiss your ass. They’re gonna love the movie. ‘Oh my God, you are amazing,’ you know.”
However, Jackson finds that seeing his movies with the general public is quite different. “You go with some regular people and they go out of the movie, ‘This movie sucked!,'” Jackson said “‘But that Sam Jackson was just the s***. He’s always the s***.'”
Jackson concluded: “So, yeah, I go. I like it. If I’m sitting at home and I’m channel surfing and there’s nothing else on … I go into the search engine and go ‘Samuel L. Jackson’ Boom. I watch it.”
Marvel’s future box office potential
Jackson has plenty of movies coming up in the near future, including his further involvement with the MCU. He’s returning as Nick Fury in the Disney+ mini-series Secret Invasion and in the upcoming film The Marvels. Fans speculate that Jackson will have significant roles in both projects. They will only continue to boost Jackson’s box office numbers as one of the highest-grossing actors of all time.
Jackson will also be honored at the 2022 Academy Awards. He’s never won an Oscar, but he’ll be receiving an Honorary Award. The ceremony will take place on March 27, 2022. Stay tuned to hear about his acceptance speech.
