Sarah Jessica Parker’s Shoe Line Can Be Seen All Over ‘And Just Like That…’ Just Under a Different Brand Name
Carrie Bradshaw’s shoes were an important part of her story from the moment the character was first introduced to fans. It’s been decades, and that fact has not changed. Bradshaw is still sporting spicy stilettos in And Just Like That…, the reboot of Sex and the City. Not all of her shoes are Manolo Blahnik’s, though. If you’ve ever seen Carrie Bradshaw slip on a pair of Duchessa Gardini shoes, she was wearing heels designed by Sarah Jessica Parker.

You probably never notice it, but Carrie Bradshaw regularly slips her feet into SJP shoes in And Just Like That… If you didn’t notice, there is a reason. The production team didn’t want you to. SJP shoes were carefully disguised under another brand name. According to the publication, whenever fans see Carrie slip her feet into Duchessa Gardini-branded shoes, they are actually heels from Parker’s SJP brand.
In 2022, Sarah Jessica Parker sat down with Vogue to discuss the show and her shoe brand. During her chat, she asserted that the shoes are disguised under a different label to ensure Carrie Bradshaw and the actor who plays the fictional character don’t exist in the same universe for fans. Parker said it would be “too weird” to exist in her fictional character’s world.
Parker, as Carrie Bradshaw, can be spotted in a pair of SJP shoes in the season 1 episode, “Tragically Hip.” The iconic sex columnist also sports Duchessa Gardini shoes in season 2 and will presumably slip on a few pairs in the yet-to-be-released third season of And Just Like That… Parker has been spotted while filming season 3 several times since the cast returned to the set in May. In one scene, she appears to be wearing a pair of ankle boots released with SJP’s most recent collection.

While Carrie Bradshaw will surely be wearing SJP shoes disguised as Duchessa Gardini heels in season 3 of And Just Like That…, the future of the shoe brand is a lot bleaker. Parker announced that after “10 colorful years,” SJP was closing its doors.
According to the Cut, Parker will shutter her Manhattan store at the end of August. Fans will still be able to purchase footwear on the company’s website after that. It’s unclear just how long supplies will last, though. Parker won’t be selling shoes any longer, but fans will still be able to catch her in And Just Like That… Season 3 is set to debut in 2025.
