Saweetie Reveals Her Honest First Impression of Quavo
Saweetie and Quavo are a top music couple. She’s one of hip hop’s newest darlings and he’s part of one of the most influential rap groups in modern history. Together, they seem to have great chemistry and the love needed to go the distance. But what about early on? What was Saweetie’s first impression of Quavo?
Saweetie revealed her first impression of Quavo in a November interview
Saweetie was speaking with Forbes the Culture on Nov. 9 via Instagram Live when she was asked to share her first thoughts on Quavo. She admitted that, because she was already a longtime fan of the Migos star, she was thrilled when he finally slid into her DMs.
“Everyone knew he was my celebrity crush. I already liked him before he slid into my DMs. That’s why that snowflake worked,” she said, referencing the first message Quavo ever sent to her.
As Quavo previously revealed, he sent Saweetie a snowflake emoji on Instagram in March 2018 since she calls herself the “Icy Girl.” She replied with a noodle emoji in reference to Migos’s “Stir Fry,” earning another flirty message from Quavo. After he complimented her and told her he was a “glacier boy,” she wrote back with a message showing she had a mutual interest in him.

After exchanging numbers, Saweetie and Quavo started talking on the phone and getting to know one another. Eventually, they got a chance to hang out when Quavo invited Saweetie to a social event in Los Angeles, they told GQ. But she wound up ditching him after it failed to meet her expectations.
“It looked like [the video to Tupac’s] ‘I Get Around,’” she recalled to the magazine before admitting that she started dodging Quavo because she “was trying to play hard to get.”
After a while, they met up again when Quavo invited the California native to Atlanta. He took her to a popular steakhouse called Stoney River and then “to the headquarters of Quality Control Music to give her a tour of the studio.” From there, they went to the Atlanta strip club Magic City before ending the night at home together.
Saweetie and Quavo have now been together for more than two years
Saweetie’s relationship with Quavo has grown more and more serious in the months since then — to the point that she even seems open to marrying him.
When asked if she saw marriage in the future in a July interview with Vibe, Saweetie couldn’t stop herself from smiling. But at the same time, she noted, “That’s not up to me. That’s up to him, so take that up with Mr. Huncho.”
Who knows what the future holds for these two. But from the looks of it, it seems likely these two could definitely end up together for the long-haul. We’ll see.
