‘Gilmore Girls’: Scott Patterson Encourages Everyone to ‘Manifest’ a Second Revival Season
Gilmore Girls wrapped its original run in 2007. In 2016, most of the cast returned for a revival on Netflix. Eight years later, fans are still clamoring for more. Over the years, there have been rumors that a second Gilmore Girls revival would be made, but there has never been an official announcement. Scott Patterson, the actor who took on the role of Luke Danes, recently suggested fans could help by thinking positive thoughts. He’s hoping to “manifest” another revival.

Scott Patterson spent some time during a recent event chatting with Time Out. While it isn’t uncommon for stars of the show to be asked about a potential second revival, Patterson changed things up a bit this time around. While he made it clear he’d be happy to appear, he has asked fans to help make it a reality.
Patterson isn’t shy about his desire to return to Stars Hollow. During his interview with Time Out, Patterson said he likes to assume it will happen eventually. He also said fans can help by doing the same. He is encouraging everyone who loves Gilmore Girls to help “manifest” a second revival.

Scott Patterson isn’t the only person associated with the beloved series who does not rule out the possibility of returning for another revival. Lauren Graham, Kelly Bishop, and Keiko Agena have all said they are open to potentially returning. Graham famously portrayed Lorelai Gilmore, while Bishop took on the role of Emily Gilmore. Agena portrayed Rory Gilmore’s best friend, Lane Kim.
The show’s creator, Amy Sherman-Palladino, is also open to the idea. In 2022, Sherman-Palladino, who has been hard at work on several other shows in recent years, told Us Weekly that a second revival is not off the table. In fact, she suggested it could be in the works eventually, as long as the “stars align.” Sherman-Palladino even seems to have ideas for a second Gilmore Girls revival. She told the publication that she missed writing for Lauren Graham and could conjure a story over lunch with the actor.
The show’s stars and the show creator all seem to be on board, but plenty of details still need to be worked out. Where a second revival would live if it were ever filmed is a bit of a mystery. While the first revival is available on Netflix, a second revival could be housed elsewhere. Insiders have wondered if Warner Bros. will eventually bring the series to Max. Right now, the original series can be found on both Hulu and Netflix. The revival is exclusive to Netflix. That could change in 2026, though.
