Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs shared an unsettling comment in a 2012 interview

In 2012, Touré interviewed Sean “Diddy” Combs for Fuse’s On the Record. The entertainment mogul shared some revealing information, including a stomach-turning comment in light of what has since been revealed about his private life.

Toward the end of their conversation, Touré asked Combs for advice for other men. In a bizarre dialogue, Diddy said it was important to live in “the love movement.”

Touré then asked Combs: “Do you think that people really know you?” He responded, “Nah, people don’t really know me, and that’s by design.”

Touré continued, “So who is this person, the Sean Combs, that we don’t know?” Combs responded, “We have yet to find out. You have to come along for the ride. That’s the whole part of the journey! That’s the whole part of entertainment!”

He concluded, “You don’t rock with a brotha for 20 years, and stop now—you gotta see this movie all the way through, baby! Believe me, I’ve got an action-packed ending for you.”

Diddy added he was ‘all about positivity’ but did that relate to his relationships?

One of the criteria that Sean “Diddy” Combs had for his relationships was that he always had to “look good” for his women. “We gotta look good for the women, you know what I’m saying?” he continued. “Having your own style, your own flair, your own flavor.”

Combs added, “I represent this flyless movement, you know? We are all about the love movement.”

“We just putting out this positivity,” Combs concluded. But was that positivity also a part of his romantic relationships? Details have since emerged that allegedly, that was not the case.

Combs began officially stepping out with Cassie Ventura when she was 19 and he was 37. They reportedly began their relationship in 2007.

The couple publicly confirmed their relationship by attending several events together, including Kanye West’s Paris Fashion Week runway show that March. Their relationship was on-again, and off-again until 2018.

In 2023, Ventura blew the lid off their real relationship when she sued Combs for alleged abuse and assault. One day after filing the lawsuit, Cassie and Combs settled. The terms of their settlement remain undisclosed.

Sean “Diddy” Combs remains in custody at a Brooklyn jail. He is facing federal charges of sex trafficking and racketeering.

The hip-hop icon has pleaded not guilty to all charges. He has been denied bail multiple times.

The lawsuits accuse Combs of using his power and influence in entertainment to manipulate, intimidate, and silence those around him. His Los Angeles, California home was raided by police in March 2024. There, officers seized supplies intended for use in “freak offs”, including drugs and more than 1,000 bottles of baby oil.

Combs allegedly coerced women into sexual acts and filmed them for his pleasure during these events. These tapes were reportedly used as blackmail to silence the participants.

Between November and December 2023, more lawsuits emerged of Combs’ sexual assaults against more women. One woman was reportedly underage, reports the BBC.

In February 2024, another lawsuit, this time by a male, emerged. By May, a disturbing video of Cassie Ventura being attacked by Combs in a hotel emerged via CNN. Other lawsuits against the entertainer have since been filed, over 100 in all.

Sean “Diddy” Combs’ next court hearing is his trial, which is scheduled to begin on May 5, 2025.
