Hip-hop mogul Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs’ life is being revealed through those around him now that the 55-year-old rapper is sitting in jail. Back in September 2024, Diddy was arrested on charges including sex trafficking and racketeering, and while his team tried to have him released on bail, they were unsuccessful.

Now, those who have known Diddy for years are speaking up more and more about what he was really like behind closed doors. And one of his former associates, Da Band member Chopper, just revealed how much Diddy truly hated Biggie’s rival, Tupac.

Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs hated Tupac’s ‘guts’ according to Chopper

It’s no secret that there were some major rap rivalries back in the 1990s. Biggie, also known as The Notorious B.I.G. (whose real name was Christopher Wallace) had a long-standing feud with California rapper Tupac Shakur, known as Tupac, that’s widely regarded as one of the biggest rap rivalries of all time. And Diddy, who had signed Biggie to his record label, wanted nothing more than for Tupac to disappear. So much so, that Diddy reportedly wouldn’t let anyone he worked with admire Tupac.

In an interview with Art of Dialogue, Chopper revealed how Diddy handled it when Chopper mentioned growing up on Tupac. “I remember one time, he was like, ‘Who did you grow up listening to?’ I said, ‘Tupac — I ain’t mention Biggie,” Chopper told the outlet.

Chopper then revealed how Diddy handled his answer. “That n**** ain’t even talk to me for, like, four f**kin’ days after that…You couldn’t say ‘Pac was anything better than Biggie. You can’t put them in the same realm or nothing; it’s all about Biggie.”

“Diddy hated everything about Tupac,” Chopper added. “Diddy hated ‘Pac, facts. Hated his guts. Hated him.”

Tupac Shakur’s family hired an attorney after Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs’ arrest

Not long after Diddy was arrested, Court TV reported that Tupac’s family hired a lawyer to investigate whether there was any link between Diddy and Tupac’s death. Tupac was just 25 years old when he was shot and killed in Las Vegas; his murder has been unsolved for years, though Duane “Keefe D” Davis was arrested in connection to the murder back in 2023; he is currently awaiting trial.

Suge Knight, a producer and rival of Diddy’s, has long-believed that Diddy was somehow responsible for the murder, though there has not been any established connection between Diddy and Tupac’s death.
