Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs Was Allegedly Taken to the Hospital from His Jail Cell: Here’s What We Know

Hip-hop mogul Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs was arrested back in September 2024 on charges of sex trafficking and racketeering. The rapper and music producer has been in jail ever since, and although he has denied the claims, Diddy doesn’t have too many people on his side.

It was recently learned that Diddy was taken to the hospital from his jail cell, but he kept the trip mostly under wraps. Here’s what we know.

Diddy’s allegations first came to light when his ex-girlfriend, Cassie Ventura, sued him back in 2023 for years of abuse during their relationship. Then, in early 2024, leaked security camera footage was released, showing Diddy physically abusing Cassie in a hotel hallway. In September 2024, Diddy was arrested after a months-long FBI investigation.

Now, Diddy sits in jail as he awaits his trial, which is supposed to begin in May. And according to the New York Post, Diddy was taken to the hospital in January 2025. A source with knowledge of the situation told the Post that Diddy was taken to the hospital to have an MRI on his knee in late January. Diddy has reportedly had knee issues ever since running the New York City Marathon, according to the source.

The hospital trip was a short one; Diddy did not spend the night. However, for privacy and security reasons, the jail could not confirm what the source was saying. Still, it appears to be confirmed by others, with sources in law enforcement also saying they were given prior knowledge of Diddy’s hospital trip.

Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs doesn’t have too many friends

Most celebrities have turned their backs on Diddy. Once he was arrested, celebrities tried to distance themselves from the mogul. In a TMZ documentary, rapper Ray J even revealed that some people in the industry were trying to pay off Diddy’s alleged victims in order to avoid having their own names mentioned in court. It remains unclear if this is true.

Suge Knight, a longtime rival of Diddy’s, also weighed in on his situation. Knight, who is currently in prison for manslaughter, said that he thinks Diddy’s life could be “in danger” because of how many celebrities Diddy was so closely associated with. For now, people will have to wait and see how the trial plays out; Diddy is due in court this spring, and it seems the only ones supporting him are his kids.
