Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs Looked Miserable the Day After Thanksgiving in 2023: Here’s Why
Federal agents arrested hip-hop mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs in September 2024. He pleaded not guilty to criminal charges that included racketeering, sex trafficking, and transportation to engage in prostitution. Combs heads to trial in May 2025, and he’ll reside behind bars at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn until then. While Combs will spend his 2024 Thanksgiving in jail, his 2023 Thanksgiving likely wasn’t much better. Here’s why he was spotted looking miserable the day after the holiday last year.
Photos showed Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs looking downtrodden the day after Thanksgiving in 2023
Sean “Diddy” Combs will have a lonely Thanksgiving behind bars in 2024. While his Thanksgiving in 2023 looked a lot more typical for the mogul, photos captured by DailyMail.com showed Combs looking forlorn on his Star Island property. Paparazzi took the photos after Combs was hit with a third sexual assault lawsuit. An anonymous woman sued Combs in the New York County Supreme Court, claiming he and singer Aaron Hall raped her and her friend in 1990 or 1991.
The photos show Combs in a black T-shirt standing outside on his estate property on the Friday after the holiday. He looked somber and worried. Additional photos show his mother Janice, daughter Chance, her mother Sarah Chapman, and his twin daughters D’Lila Star and Jessie James on the property.
The news came on the heels of another assault allegation against Combs. On Nov. 23, 2023, another woman came forward and alleged that Combs drugged and raped her in 1991.
“These are fabricated claims falsely alleging misconduct from over 30 years ago and filed at the last minute. This is nothing but a money grab,” Combs’ spokesperson told DailyMail.com at the time. “Because of Mr. Combs’ fame and success, he is an easy target for anonymous accusers who lie without conscience or consequence for financial benefit.”
Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs’ family supports him while he’s in jail for the 2024 holidays
As of the end of October 2024, Sean “Diddy” Combs has over two dozen lawsuits facing him as he sits in the Metropolitan Detention Center. A source alleged he expected to have his famous friends and exes by his side. Unfortunately for him, big names in the industry haven’t come through.
“It’s not like they’ve been going around trashing him, but everyone’s been giving him a seriously wide berth,” the insider told In Touch Weekly. “He’s radioactive at this point. Even if he hasn’t been found guilty, his name is mud, and it would social suicide to have anything to do with him.”
However, Combs continues to receive public support from his family.
“The past month has devastated our family,” Christian “King” posted to Instagram in October 2024. “Many have judged both him and us based on accusations, conspiracy theories, and false narratives that have spiraled into absurdity on social media. We stand united, supporting you every step of the way. We hold onto the truth, knowing it will prevail, and nothing will break the strength of our family.” He ended the post stating how he missed and loved his father.
The hip-hop mogul’s 2022 Thanksgiving looked much different than later years
Sean “Diddy” Combs lived a much different life in 2022. To celebrate Thanksgiving that year, he and his daughters, Chance, D’Lila, and Jessie, helped feed around 3,000 people in Miami’s homeless community through The Caring Place at the Miami Rescue Mission. Caresha Romeka Brownlee, aka Yung Miami, joined the Combs family. She had an open relationship with Combs at the time.
Photos from the event showed Combs, Yung Miami, and his kids serving up plates of food with gloves on to those less fortunate.
“This Thanksgiving, it’s important to give back to the community and spread love to people less fortunate, so they know they’re not alone or forgotten,” Diddy said in a statement, according to People. “The Caring Place at Miami Rescue Mission has been doing incredible work for over 100 years supporting those in need. And I’m thankful for the opportunity to partner with them, Caresha, and my family to bless the city this holiday season.”
