Hip-hop mogul Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs was arrested back in September 2024 on charges including sex trafficking and racketeering. Diddy had been under investigation for months, and the year prior, he was sued by ex-girlfriend Cassie Ventura for abuse during their relationship.

Diddy has been sitting in a New York City jail since his arrest and will remain there until his trial starts in spring 2025. But he saw his son during a recent court appearance and was able to mouth two words to check in on him.

Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs was seen mouthing, “You OK?” to his son

Diddy hasn’t seen much daylight since his arrest. His attorneys had been trying to get him released on bail, but the bail was denied, and the attorneys have since stopped fighting for it. Now, Diddy must wait in jail until his trial, but he has had a number of recent court appearances, where he’s been able to at least be in the same room as his family. During a December 18 appearance, Diddy was seen mouthing, “You OK?” to his son, and his son acknowledged the question by nodding, balling his hand into a fist, and placing it over his heart.

According to People, Diddy has been “fully focused” on the trial and his defense, and a source told the outlet that the rapper “has been very active, remains in good spirits, and, as always, he was happy to see his children.” Diddy has seven children ranging from one year old to mid 30s.

Diddy’s trial date actually isn’t too far away, and his attorneys claim that he will continue to fight for his freedom. In the meantime, since his arrest, more people have come forward to accuse the mogul of sexual assault. And with that, many celebrities have done their best to distance themselves from Diddy and his situation. Will Smith said during a recent concert that he never had anything to do with Diddy, and in a TMZ documentary, Ray J accused other celebrities of trying to pay off alleged victims, so their names are never associated with the rapper.

Suge Knight, who is currently serving a prison sentence for manslaughter and runs a podcast from his cell, has said that he believes Diddy’s “life is in danger” due to the “secrets” Diddy knows involving other celebrities and that Diddy needs to be careful and own up to his past.
