Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs ‘Publicly Disrespected’ Chaka Khan by ‘Screaming’ in Her Face, Said Her Daughter
When Sean “Diddy” Combs posted an apology following the release of footage of him assaulting Cassie Ventura, Chaka Khan’s daughter responded. In a comment on the post, Indira Milini Khan noted that she was happy to see Diddy face repercussions. Indira detailed a time that he shouted in her mother’s face at an event.
Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs reportedly once shouted at Chaka Khan in public
In 2024, footage of Diddy attacking his former girlfriend, Cassie Ventura, in a hotel surfaced. He posted an apology video on social media. Indira commented, making it clear that she saw no value in his apology.
“I’m glad this is happening to you, you got in my mothers face and publicly disrespected her yelling and screaming like a lunatic,” Indira wrote, per Entertainment Tonight. “[W]hen my little brother tried to get you out of my mothers face your security jumped my 19 year old brother[.] [T]hese may be your dark days but I’m singing and dancing watching your demise @chakakhan isn’t it great mom.”
As Khan’s son, Damien Holland, is now 45, the alleged incident would have taken place in the late 1990s.
Chaka Khan made a statement vaguely referencing Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs
In a response to her daughter’s comment, Khan made a statement to People. She did not go into detail about the alleged incident with Diddy. Instead, she spoke about the way violence and abuse can affect people.
“In these troubling times, I’m reminded that the energies of violence and abuse can take many forms, affecting individuals and communities worldwide,” she said. “As someone who has faced personal lessons, I believe in the power of meditation, prayer and inner peace to bring light and hope to our lives and the world around us. We can address most issues, prevent negativity, and cultivate compassion by seeking Self.”
She added that she hopes to see people working toward a more peaceful and loving world.
“Let us take responsibility for our actions, strive to be better, and support those who are hurting,” she continued. “May we find strength in grace and wisdom as human beings, walking towards a more loving and just world.”
He is currently awaiting trial in a New York jail
In 2024, police arrested Diddy on charges of sex trafficking and racketeering. He remains without bail at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn. The jail reportedly has notoriously bad living conditions. Other former inmates include R. Kelly and Ghislaine Maxwell, who once spoke about her time there.
“I used to go to the loo with an open sewer drain and a friendly rat would regularly visit,” she told The Daily Mail. “I told the guards, but nothing was done until the rat popped out and charged a guard who screamed in terror. Finally, the sewer drain was covered.”
Diddy’s trial will begin on May 5, 2025.
