Federal agents arrested hip-hop mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs in September 2024 following the Homeland Security raids on two of his properties. Lawsuits continue to pile against Combs, keeping his legal team busy. While Combs had a hefty net worth before his arrest, he doesn’t appear to be making much while he sits behind bars. Here’s what’s going on with the potential sale of his private plane.

Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs is trying to sell his private plane

Sean “Diddy” Combs was once known for his beautiful homes and multimillion-dollar modes of transportation. The mogul owns a $65 million superyacht and a classic car collection. He also owns a Gulfstream 550 jet. The plane can fly 6,500 miles without refueling and costs $60 million upfront with $3.5 million annually for maintenance.

Combs’ legal team revealed that Combs intends to sell the plane. “Just this weekend, Mr. Combs entered into a Letter of Intent with a party to sell it,” his legal team announced while trying to attain a bail package, according to The Sun. “Mr. Combs understands he is not to travel to Los Angeles, where the plane had been located this week, and further that the plane is not to be brought to any District in which he is located until it is sold.”

In addition to potentially selling the plane, Combs’ jet has been spotted on high-end rental websites. It’s been spotted on Victor, known as the “Uber of Private Jets.” According to The Sun, the Beckhams, Rita Ora, and model Irina Shayk have all used Victor.

Jettly, an aviation broker site, and Aviapages, a charter marketplace, also listed the jet. On Jettly, a four-hour journey from Los Angeles to New York costs the flyer around $116,000.

While Sean “Diddy” Combs wants to sell his private jet, he also put his Beverly Hill mansion up for sale. Homeland Security raided the property in March 2024. Combs listed the 10-bedroom, 13-bathroom home for $61.5 million six months after the raid.

“Defending him against these serious charges is a huge undertaking, and it’s gotten very expensive,” a source told In Touch Weekly in September 2024. “He will hate to part with it, but he has no other choice.”

Unfortunately for Combs, the house hasn’t received many bites. Real estate sources told TMZ that “only a few” potential buyers showed interest with no serious buyers. Other realtors told the media outlet that Combs started with a “ridiculous” asking price that isn’t helping his cause. Another source said the home has an “ick factor” because of the allegations against Combs.

Sean “Diddy” Combs likely has expensive lawyers to help him craft his defense for his upcoming trial in May 2025. According to the New York Post, Mark Geragos, Combs’ previous representative, said Combs’ legal bills will likely reach a “high seven-figure commitment.”

Geragos broke down the numbers even more. “Generally, cases like this are handled on an hourly basis, and Diddy has always availed himself of a top-shelf legal team, which can cost up to $1,750 an hour,” he said.

Combs’ legal fees seem unfathomable to most. However, Geragos says Combs will likely figure out what he needs to do to pay. “He’s been in challenging situations before and generally lands on his feet … he’s extremely smart and savvy,” he said.
