Federal agents arrested hip-hop mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs in September 2024. While he pleaded not guilty to the charges against him, which include sex trafficking, racketeering conspiracy, and transportation to engage in prostitution, he remains behind bars until his court date. Now, we’re looking back at Combs’ time with a young Justin Bieber. Here’s what Combs once said about how Bieber “knows better” than to talk about his time with Combs.

Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs once said that Justin Bieber ‘knows better’ than to discuss their time together

Sean “Diddy” Combs is one of the biggest names in the music world, and his legendary parties included hundreds of famous names. In March 2024, Homeland Security raided two of Combs’ properties, resulting in his arrest in September 2024. Now, fans of Combs are looking at his time with Justin Bieber in a different light.

Combs said he once considered himself a big brother to Bieber, as Bieber spent time with him as a teen. A resurfaced video shows Combs and Beiber spending an alleged “48 hours” together, with Bieber at Combs’ mansion. In 2011, Combs and Bieber appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, and the hip-hop star talked about his relationship with the young star.

According to TMZ, Jimmy Kimmel asked Combs and Bieber about their friendship. Combs said he considers Bieber as his “little brother,” and they became friends “in a strange way.” Combs added that he considers Bieber “one of the greatest kids you could ever know.”

Bieber then mentioned that Combs bought him a Lamborghini, though he hadn’t yet received it. From there, Combs referenced their 48 hours together at his home, where Bieber had the opportunity to check out Combs’ luxury car.

“[Justin] had the Lambo for a day or two, and he had access to the house, and he knows better than to be talking about the things that he does with Big Brother Puff on national television,” Combs said.

The resurfaced clip of Sean “Diddy” Combs and Justin Bieber spending 48 hours together caused a stir after Combs’ arrest.

“You ever see the movie 48 Hours? Right now, he’s having 48 hours with Diddy, him and his boy, they’re having the times of their lives,” Combs tells the camera in the clip. “Where we hanging out and what we doing; we can’t really disclose. But it’s definitely a 15-year-old’s dream. I have been given custody of him.”

According to Combs’ ex-bodyguard, the clip was all smoke and mirrors. Combs allegedly spent less than a few hours with Bieber that day.

“I [saw] Bieber when he was 15, and actually, in that excerpt inside the house when [Combs] was like: ‘You want one of these?’ and it was a Lamborghini, [Combs] actually told me to pull the Lamborghini out front, I pulled it out front and it was me, him, and Scooter [Braun],” the bodyguard said in an interview posted to Reddit.

“It was just one of those phone calls, basically: ‘I’m in town, bring Justin by. I want you to highlight him for a little while.’ And he just hollered at him. They ain’t stay together for 48 hours and all that. He was just talking s*** right there. He stayed there for about an hour, two.”

Celebrities could get subpoenaed for the court case

Justin Bieber hasn’t publicly spoken about Sean “Diddy” Combs’ arrest. However, he might get subpoenaed in court regarding what he experienced while with the hip-hop mogul. Neama Rahmani, the President of West Coast Trial Lawyers, told The U.S. Sun that celebrities close to Combs should expect a call.

“Jay-Z and other celebrities can be subpoenaed, but they will almost certainly assert their Fifth Amendment privilege against self-incrimination and refuse to testify,” Rahmani said. “People who participated in the sex acts should especially be afraid because they can also be charged with sex trafficking or prostitution, depending on whether they used threats or force against the victims.”
