Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs’ parties were legendary in celebrity circles before the darker side of his lifestyle was revealed. But even his party invitations might’ve been just as elaborate as the actual festivities. Jimmy Fallon discovered firsthand just how diabolical the music mogul could be when it came to recruiting his guests.

It seems almost everyone in Hollywood has been to a Diddy party. And for those who haven’t been to one, it’s a safe bet they must’ve heard about them. Long before ‘freak-offs’ were a thing, a wide range of celebrities from Usher to Ashton Kutcher have been exposed to Diddy’s wild shenanigans. Although details were scarce, all party-goers have described the rap CEO’s events as wild and unforgettable.

Jimmy Fallon belonged to a long list of celebrities who attended these parties. He and Diddy reminisced about Fallon’s invite on an episode of The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon (via Music-News). There, the two joked about the unique invite Fallon received to the shindig.

“You sent me a self destructing invite once,” Fallon told Diddy in front of the live audience.

Diddy called his invitation “very high concept.” According to Fallon, the comedian had to write down the address to Diddy’s party on the invitation within a certain time limit. If the talk show host didn’t write it down in time, the invitation would literally self-destruct, leaving behind little evidence.

Fallon followed the invite’s instructions, which allowed him to experience the event. Then the comedian briefly reflected on what the party was like.

“I went to the party and it was one of the best parties I’ve ever been to,” he told Diddy. “I went in and it was just packed, and everyone was drinking and dancing and having a good time. You gave me a shout-out – you would announce people who came into the party.”

Diddy would confide during the interview that he enjoyed being a host, and his parties always came from a place of positivity.

“You’ve got to work hard and you’ve got to play hard – you have to treat yourself,” he said. “I’m filled with positivity; there are a lot of positive things going on in my life right now, in the air – that’s what a party is about, when you come to a Puff Daddy party.”

It might be difficult to find any celebrity who hadn’t been personally exposed to Diddy’s parties. But they’re out there. Not too long ago, 50 Cent confided he wanted nothing to do with the mogul’s parties when he was invited. This might not come as too much of a surprise, as 50 Cent has been sending light jabs at Diddy for years. But the “In Da Club” hitmaker also refused Diddy’s parties because of how uncomfortable they seemed.

“I’ve been very vocal about not going to Puffy parties and doing s*** like that,” 50 Cent told The Hollywood Reporter. “I’ve been staying out of that s*** for years. It’s just an uncomfortable energy connected to it.”

Actor Jenny Mollen, known for projects like Crazy, Stupid, Love and Extracted, also turned down Diddy’s parties years ago.

“One time when I was like 19, I was in San Diego and this guy came over and he’s like, ‘My boss wants to meet you,’” she once posted on Social Media according to Yahoo. “I had on this maroon button-up shirt, like, brick-colored, cotton button-up shirt, hideous jeans and a loafer. Not giving sex vibes.”

Mollen questioned what would’ve happened if she accepted the invite.

“This guy’s like, ‘My boss wants to meet you,’ and he’s like this big bouncer-looking [man], who’s there in a fur coat kind of vibes,” she added. “He’s like, ‘We’re having a party up in my room, do you guys want to come?’ Guys, would I have been in a freak-off? That’s what I’m reading, it’s called a freak-off. Would I have been captured in his room in my hideous maroon shirt? Would there be footage to this day of me in some sort of crazy exploitative freak-off?”

Comedian Katt Williams also joked earlier this year that he turned down the multi-millionaires‘ parties.

“P. Diddy be wanting to party, and you got to tell him no. I did,” Williams said on Club Shay Shay.
