Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs Used Special Lighting for His ‘Freak Offs,’ Claimed a Bad Boy Employee

Sean “Diddy” Combs’ “freak offs,” or sex parties, have been described as dens of debauchery. They’ve fallen under heavy scrutiny in the months following Combs’ arrest. Partygoers and Combs’ employees have spoken about what they saw at these notorious events. One former Bad Boy employee claimed Combs wanted a certain type of lighting at his parties.

Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs liked a certain type of lighting at his freak offs

For years, Combs hosted parties at his home. According to his former employee, he had specific requirements for the way the events looked.

“Anytime where the studio or any rooms is red, it’s red because he feel like the frequency for f***ing or making love or sex,” an anonymous former Bad Boy employee said in the Peacock documentary Diddy: The Making of a Bad Boy.

The employee spoke about one party that took place in red-lit rooms.

“He looked at two of the girls and winked his eyes and point and say, ‘Y’all come here.’ And he walked out and left into his room and didn’t come out until a whole ‘nother 24 hours,” they said. “For sure they were underage.”

Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs reportedly also had specific decor choices at his freak offs 

Combs reportedly also installed mirrors on nearly every surface ahead of his parties. 

“Everywhere you looked, you’d see yourself reflected again and again,” his former party planner told the New York Post. “You can imagine what it would look like when people are naked and having sex on the floor, on the couches, wherever.”

It wasn’t cheap to install this many mirrors. Their cost, coupled with other party expenses, ran up a significant tab.

“They cost about $500,000 per party,” said the planner. “This is for both the mainstream part, and then the sex party afterward… Great food, expensive alcohol, dancers, acrobats, models.”

He shared how he prepared for the parties

Combs himself has also spoken about the way he prepared for his parties. He said finding women to attend was his top priority.

“This is what you need to do,” Diddy began, per Vibe Magazine. “Women. Beautiful women, of course. Beautiful men for the ladies, of course … You need to give the ladies what they need, too. Take care of your women. You can’t force the situation.”

He liked to have a fully stocked bar and keep the home as warm as possible. 

“We need alcohols,” he said. “You need some water. I don’t know if guys have noticed this, but a lot of ladies drink water at parties. So if you don’t have what they need, they gon’ leave. Gotta keep ’em there. You need locks on the doors… It’s a little kinky but, you know… rock with me. You need a lot of heat. Don’t have no air conditioning. Heat affects the alcohol and it also affects… you know, everybody gets a little bit more comfortable and loose. It builds up a nice little sweat.”
