Hip-hop mogul Sean “P. Diddy” Combs is under fire following the Homeland Security raid on two of his properties and the footage of him attacking his former girlfriend in a hotel. Casandra “Cassie” Ventura dated Combs for a decade in the 2000s, and she alleged in a lawsuit in 2023 that Combs was violent and sexually abusive toward her. Here’s what Combs’ former head of security said about an incident he witnessed between Ventura and Combs.

Sean ‘P. Diddy’ Combs’ former head of security said he saw Combs go ‘crazy’ on Casandra ‘Cassie’ Ventura

Sean “P. Diddy” Combs is in hot water following the release of footage that showed him attacking Casandra “Cassie” Ventura in a Los Angeles hotel. The video shows Ventura leaving a hotel room and briskly walking toward the elevators. Combs then exits the same hotel room and runs toward her, wearing a towel around his waist. He proceeds to grab her hoodie and bring her to the ground. Combs then kicks her and drags her by the neck of the hoodie.

Combs’ former head of security, Roger Bonds, spoke on Piers Morgan Uncensored about his experience with Combs and Ventura. Bonds witnessed Combs’ unsavory behavior on multiple occasions. He recalled one incident in January 2009 when he stopped Combs’ violence against Ventura. Combs allegedly pushed Ventura into a corner of a car and stomped on her face after leaving an event.

“It was in front of a black-tie affair, actually,” Bonds said. “They came out of the black-tie affair on Sunset Boulevard, and she was talking to a manager, and I was standing there, and then he just came out and went crazy, you know what I’m saying? I didn’t understand why, but I knew that we were on Sunset Boulevard, and I grabbed him, and I said, ‘Yo, what are you doing? What did she do?'”

Bonds said that Ventura “ran on the side of the car” and “bent down,” and Combs chased after her and began hitting her once more. “I pulled him off of her, and I threw him in the car, and then I grabbed her, and I threw her in the car,” he continued. “They continued to fight for another block or two.”

Sean “P. Diddy” Combs issued an apology video to Instagram following the footage that showed him assaulting Casandra “Cassie” Ventura in a hotel hallway.

“My behavior on that video is inexcusable,” he said. “I take full responsibility for my actions in that video.”

Combs continued by stating that he was “disgusted” with his past actions but had worked hard to do better.

“I went, and I sought out professional help,” he said. “I got into going to therapy, going to rehab. I had to ask God for his mercy and grace. I’m so sorry. But I’m committed to be a better man each and every day. I’m not asking for forgiveness. I’m truly sorry.”

Roger Bonds called the apology “self-centered.”

“I didn’t see no tears, you know what I’m saying?” he told Piers Morgan. “I just see something that people would feel that had to be done.”

Other women have come forward with sexual assault allegations

Casandra “Cassie” Ventura isn’t the only woman to come forward with accusations against Sean “P. Diddy” Combs. As of May 2024, Combs has seven lawsuits alleging sexual assault.

Most recently, April Lampros alleges that Combs sexually assaulted her four times between 1995 and 2000. According to The Guardian, she “was told that Mr. Combs apparently recorded them having sex without her knowing and showed it to multiple people.” Lampros also said she Combs forced her to take ecstasy. While Lampros says she tried to distance herself from Combs following the second alleged assault, he threatened to ostracize her from the fashion industry (she was a fashion student) and physically harm her.
