Sean ‘P. Diddy’ Combs Couldn’t Remember His Pajama Birthday Party in 2014
Federal agents arrested hip-hop mogul Sean “P. Diddy” Combs in September 2024 following the Homeland Security raid on two of his homes in March 2024. Combs was charged with sex trafficking, racketeering conspiracy, and transportation to engage in prostitution. Now, we’re looking back at interviews that gave a glimpse into Combs’ life before his arrest. Here’s what he said about the pajama birthday party he couldn’t remember.
Sean ‘P. Diddy’ Combs had a pajama party for his birthday in 2014
Famous folks knew Sean “P. Diddy” Combs for his wild parties that involved many famous faces. In 2014, he discussed the birthday party he had to celebrate turning 45.
“I had a pajama party — a ’90s pajama party at my house,” he told Extra. “I love the music from the ’90s. New jack swing, just dancing, and the hip-hop that was there.” He added that he “wanted people to not have to get dressed up” to come over and “stay up to the sunrise. It was great.”
While Combs remembers having the idea for the party, he seemingly partied so hard that he doesn’t recall the party itself. “I actually don’t remember the party, though,” he said.
This isn’t the only party Combs threw that involved pajamas. That same year, he threw a New Year’s party that involved changing into his silk PJs at 5 a.m. and serving his guests breakfast as the sun rose. Combs served French toast, hash browns, omelets, and chicken and waffles. According to Page Six, Jay-Z, Beyoncé, Robin Thicke, Rick Ross, Dennis Rodman, Al Sharpton, and Drake attended the Ciroc-sponsored bash at his home in Miami, Florida.
Leonardo DiCaprio, David Blaine, and Regis Philbin famously attended his famous ‘white parties’
Sean “P. Diddy” Combs was known for his outrageous, star-studded parties. DailyMail.com posted a clip from one of Combs’ “white parties” in the Hamptons in New York. All guests were required to follow the all-white dress code. The clip shows Combs telling his star-studded guests that all parents had to prepare to send their children home.
“We fed you all, we gave you drinks; now it’s time to enjoy life,” Combs tells his guests in the clip. “This is a celebration of life. This is the real white party. Kids have an hour left, [then] this thing turns into something that when you get older, this is something y’all gonna want to come to … so let’s just start to get our groove on, put the kids away. It’s all good.”
Jennifer Lopez, Matthew Broderick, Sarah Jessica Parker, Ashton Kutcher, Leonardo DiCaprio, David Blaine, and Regis Philbin historically attended Combs’ white parties.
According to music industry insider Tom Swoope, drugs like ecstasy and cocaine were present. Combs also allegedly sexually humiliated guests and promised them record deals.
“There were so many celebrities there who were cool with who he was and what he did to entertain them,” Swoope said. “It’s not isolated.”
Celebrities close to Sean ‘P. Diddy’ Combs could get subpoenaed
Sean “P. Diddy” Combs had many celebrities attend his parties, which may result in numerous subpoenas for his court case. Combs pleaded not guilty to the charges against him. However, if found guilty, he may spend 15 years to life in prison.
Former prosecutor Neama Rahmani, the President of West Coast Trial Lawyers, told The U.S. Sun that Combs’ friends, like Jay-Z, “can be subpoenaed.” However, “they will almost certainly assert their Fifth Amendment privilege against self-incrimination and refuse to testify.”
“People who participated in the sex acts should especially be afraid because they can also be charged with sex trafficking or prostitution, depending on whether they used threats or force against the victims,” Rahmani continued.
