AMC has been home to fantastic TV series that have broken records. The Walking Dead and Breaking Bad have helped the network establish itself as a thriller-drama outlet. But with the new Annie Murphy series Kevin Can F**k Himself, AMC has taken a different route that has seen the series earn critical acclaim.

The network renewed Kevin Can F**k Himself for another season. And given Season 1’s cliffhanger, viewers would be right to question what the next installment will hold.

Viewers are familiar with the stereotypical sitcom wife, devoted and happy in her marriage regardless of its faults. When Kevin Can F**k Himself starts, the series tricks viewers into thinking Allison McRoberts is the same as all the other sitcom wives before her. She cares for her husband, loves him unconditionally, and even tolerates his insensitive friends and family.

However, the more the years pass, Allison realizes there’s more to life than her loveless marriage, and she begins to entertain murderous ideas about Kevin. For instance, she goes into a trance where she imagines herself stabbing him after breaking a glass.

Viewers, although shocked, learn this is nothing but a daydream and a fantasy in Allison’s mind.

One day, she visits a salon for a makeover as she plans to meet an ex. Although her plans don’t go as intended, Allison is still convinced she needs to get rid of Kevin. So she partners with her friends to attempt to get him out of the picture.

Allison tries everything in the book, including poisoning Kevin’s food, and even one of her friends suggests she frame her husband as a drug dealer to send him to prison.

The season finale sees Kevin’s immature best friend, Neil, finding out about Allison’s twisted plan and attacking her. That forces Neil’s sister, Patty, a neighbor Allison has grown fond of, to save the day.

When will ‘Kevin Can F**k Himself’ Season 2 come out, and what will it be about?

Season 1 ends with Patty smashing a bottle over Neil’s head after he overhears Allison’s murderous plot, seemingly ending him. The cliffhanger left fans with more questions than they had answers to. Fortunately, all mysteries might see resolutions because AMC has renewed the dark comedy for an encore season, Distractify reports.

Before the network renewed Kevin Can F**k Himself, showrunner Valerie Armstrong expressed her views about the possible second season. She said, “I hope [Season 2] exists! And I really love the idea of exposing Neil in single-cam, not in a way that would ever excuse what he did or forget what he did.”

Aside from getting a closer look at Neil and what makes him tick (this potentially means he is not dead), fans will learn more about Kevin and the reason why he is the way he is. His storyline will be even more fascinating because he’s pursuing a career in politics.

The showrunners have yet to announce a premiere date for the second season.
