There’s plenty of twists, twirls, death drops, and gags. RuPaul’s Drag Race: All-Stars only features the best contestants on RuPaul’s reality competition series, each trying to snatch the crown. 

Here’s what we know about the seasons with the most queens who returned for the spinoff.

‘RuPaul’s Drag Race: All-Stars’ gives queens a chance to show their growth

These queens didn’t win their respective seasons, but that doesn’t mean they’re not winners, baby. Thanks to the spinoff series, RuPaul’s Drag Race: All-Stars, Drag Race alumni have a chance to prove they can compete with the best of the best. 

“Our community has always been resilient in all adversity we’ve ever faced,” season 10 and All-Stars 5 contestant, Mayhem Miller, said during a Zoom-based interview with Entertainment Weekly. 

“We’ve always been able to come together, unite, rise, and thrive to the occasion,” she continued. “I know in my heart of hearts, once this is over, everyone is going to get back to work and it’s going to be just as fierce, if not even better because everyone has had time to reevaluate what’s important.”

‘All-Stars 2’ was filled with queens from season 5

Released in 2013, season 5 of RuPaul’s Drag Race was known for its iconic cast, overflowing with charisma, uniqueness, nerve, and talent. Several queens who made it to the top of season 5 returned for the spinoff series. 

There were the members of Rolaskatox, Alaska, Roxxxy Andrews, and Detox, who reunited for season 2 of All-Stars. As Alaska put it, though, they were not actively practicing Rolaskatoxism.  

Coco Montrese and Alyssa Edwards returned to the competition and although they had some drama during season 5, they buried the hatchet before joining the cast of RuPaul’s Drag Race: All-Stars 2.

Several queens from season 6 and season 9 also competed in the spinoff series

For several seasons of All-Stars, season 6 competitors returned to prove they have what it takes to be an All-Star. That includes Adore Delano, BenDeLaCreme, Milk, and Gia Gunn. Some returning queens from season 9 went on to win their respective seasons of All-Stars. 

That includes Shea Couleé (All-Stars 5) and Trinity the Tuck (All-Stars 4.) Farrah Moan, Aja, and Valentina acted as other returning competitors from season 9. 

Some queens who already competed on the series several times were invited back for one last chance with All-Stars. That includes Shangela, who competed in both season 2 and season 3, and Manila Luzon and Latrice Royale, who acted as partners in All-Stars 1 and individuals in All-Stars 4. 

All-Stars 3 even featured a crowned queen of the series, returning to prove she had what it takes to keep up with the younger generation. That was season 1 winner, Bebe Zahara Bennett, who made it to the final round of the competition.

Although RuPaul has not made an official announcement, some fans expect season 6 of RuPaul’s Drag Race: All-Stars to premiere following the season 13 crowning.
