Sebastian Stan Will Star in Several Upcoming Productions Following ‘The Falcon and the Winter Soldier’
Sebastian Stan currently stars as Bucky Barnes across from Anthony Mackie in the Disney+ original series The Falcon and the Winter Soldier. The show broke Disney+ records, premiering to the largest viewership numbers of any Disney+ original series to date.
Stan remains intimately connected to his character, The Winter Soldier, but he has previously starred in the former teen drama Gossip Girl, I, Tonya, Logan Lucky, and more. Yet, aside from voicing Bucky in the upcoming animated original What If…?, what’s on Stan’s agenda?
Sebastian Stan will star in 2022’s ‘The 355’
Work on The 355 is complete, and the film is expected to premiere in January of 2022. The film follows a wild card CIA agent who teams up with three other international agents when a top-secret weapon falls into mercenary hands. They must work together to retrieve the item before mass chaos ensues. Yet, the team of agents must also stay one step ahead of an agent who’s tracking their every move.
The film title is derived from Agent 355: a female spy for the insurrectionists during the American Revolution. Sebastian Stan will star alongside an A-list ensemble, including Jessica Chastain, Lupita Nyong’o, Diane Kruger, Penélope Cruz, and more.
‘The Falcon and the Winter Soldier’ actor will also star in ‘Fresh’ and ‘The Brutalist’
Fresh is a thriller currently in post-production, but the narrative is being largely kept under wraps, according to IMDb. The film will supposedly tackle the fear many women face daily. Mimi Kave will direct, in her directorial debut, with Lauryn Kahn penning the screenplay.
Stan will star opposite Daisy Edgar Jones, Jonica T. Gibbs, and Adam McKay in the upcoming film. Not much else has been confirmed regarding the movie.
As for The Brutalist, the dramatic film follows an architect who emigrates to the United States in 1947 and spends the next three decades working to establish himself and his wife in America. It’s part love story, part epic saga, and it stars Joel Edgerton and Marion Cotillard in the title roles. Stan, Vanessa Kirby, Stacy Martin, and more will play supporting characters.
Stan will portray Tommy Lee in the upcoming series ‘Pam & Tommy’
Pam & Tommy is an upcoming biographical drama about the romantic relationship between Mötley Crüe founding member Tommy Lee and model/actor Pamela Anderson. Stan will portray Lee and Lily James will play Anderson.
The story will start from the beginning — dating all the way back to 1995 (when they married after knowing each other for 96 hours). Seth Rogen has also been cast as Rand Gauthier.
