We’ve entered a new era of Drag Race. Now, celebrities will strut their stuff on the mainstage for a chance to win the title of “America’s Celebrity Drag Superstar.” With Secret Celebrity Drag Race premiering on the same day as new episodes of both RuPaul’s Drag Race season 12 and Untucked, fans have plenty of content to binge-watch during social distancing.

‘Secret Celebrity Drag Race’ debuts right after a new episode of ‘RuPaul’s Drag Race’ season 12

Just when you thought VH1 couldn’t get more fabulous — another Drag Race-related series is coming to the television network. This one features celebrities competing for the title, in addition to a few fan-favorite contestants. RuPaul’s Secret Celebrity Drag Race has four episodes, with three celebrities per episode.

RuPaul’s Secret Celebrity Drag Race is a blast,” RuPaul said in a statement. “We put these celebrities through it! Because no matter how famous your charisma, uniqueness, nerve, and talent is, you still put your pantyhose on one leg at a time.”

Former contestants will help these celebrities showcase their love of the reality competition series. That includes Alyssa Edwards, Asia O’Hara, Bob the Drag Queen, Kim Chi, Monét X Change, Monique Heart, Nina West, Trinity the Tuck, Trixie Mattel, and Vanessa Vanjie Mateo.

Fans reacted to all the upcoming ‘Drag Race’ specials

New episodes of this four-part special premiere right after the episode of Drag Race season 12. After that, an episode of RuPaul’s Drag Race: Untucked debuts on the same television network, VH1. Some fans are torn, saying this is too much coming out at one time. Others took to social media, sharing their excitement for Secret Celebrity Drag Race.

Some fans shared their guesses regarding which celebrities will appear on the series, although there will be a handful walking into the Werk Room within the next few weeks. (Nothing has been confirmed yet by RuPaul or the production company, World of Wonder.) One Twitter user said, “Hayley Kiyoko being on Celebrity Drag Race will be the only valid thing about Celebrity Drag Race.”

“Alright, so if the rumors are true about @Harry_Styles being a contestant on Rupaul’s Celebrity Drag Race I am going to DIE! You will not hear from me for WEEKS,” another Twitter user wrote.

Additionally, a “special” season of RuPaul’s Drag Race: All-Stars is set to debut on Showtime within the coming weeks. All these announcements have some fans ditzy but excited for the gags and looks that lie ahead.
