‘Selling Sunset’: Christine Quinn Claims the Bribery Story Is Fake
Selling Sunset shows realtors tied to luxury properties in a lot of drama. Christine Quinn claims one story is fake after season 5 ended with a cliffhanger.
Christine Quinn was accused of bribing a client on ‘Selling Sunset’ Season 5
All season Christine was shown not getting along with almost every other cast member of the show. But she was friendly with newcomer Chelsea Lazkani.
The end of the season showed the personal feud between realtors leaking into their work. “Sabotage in Stilettos” ended with Emma Hernan telling Mary Fitzgerald that Christine tried to bribe someone.
“So, an associate of Christine contacted my client and offered $5,000 on her behalf to not work with me and to work with her instead,” Emma said. She later added, “And the worst part of it is that he said to me, ‘I want you to be aware that she said that she was out to sabotage you.’”
Mary told Jason Oppenheim about this accusation. Mary said she confirmed this story with the client. “In my opinion, she would be fired,” she claimed. They tried to call Christine into the office to talk about the situation, but she never showed up.
Christine Quinn claims the bribery story is fake
The reality star isn’t afraid to say something is fake about the Netflix show. On April 22, she tweeted, “30 minutes till the launch of #SellingSunset enjoy the new season and all of its 5,000 fake storylines!”
Christine then followed up with reactions to the season. “Jeeezaz @XtineQuinn I was with you but whyyyy did you offer the client 5k not to work with Emma? #sellingsunsets5,” one fan asked. “Omg bless your heart you actually think the show is real [crying laughing emoji,” Christine replied.
Someone else asked if it was a lie. “A big 5k lie and beyond,” she tweeted. “Why didn’t you go to the meeting with Jason and Mary?” another person tweeted. “Cause the meeting wasn’t real. Lolzzz” she answered.
Christine continued denying this story in more tweets. “I’m still shocked at the bribery plot in #SellingSunset because there’s NO WAY, NO WAY, this is real. I even believe they did that to tarnish @XtineQuinn reputation cause she has her new agency. And no shade, but Mary was not a good enough actress to make it believable,” a fan tweeted on April 24. Christine replied, “100.”
Is Christine fired from The Oppenheim Group?
The season ended with a cliffhanger since Christine didn’t talk about the situation with Mary and Jason. But it’s obvious she’s in hot water.
The Oppenheim Group’s website still includes her as a realtor, so it doesn’t look like she was fired. Fans might learn more about her position at the company with the reunion. It will be released on Netflix on May 6.
