‘Selling Sunset’ has attracted fans with its drama-filled episodes

Although Selling Sunset prides itself in showing fans luxurious homes in and around Los Angeles, there’s no doubt many viewers also tune in for the drama.

The real estate agents on the show often clash over their differences. For example, Chrishell Stause has been at odds with Christine Quinn and Davina Potratz since the first season. Additionally, Fitzgerald was friends with Quinn when Selling Sunset first premiered, but the two of them are no longer close.

Drama has made the series extremely entertaining for fans, but Jason Oppenheim—the founder of the Oppenheim Group—once shared that he did not realize Netflix would focus so much on the agents’ personal lives.

“I wanted it to be all about the nuances of real estate, but I now realise the show I envisaged wouldn’t be that popular,” he told Hello!. “I’ve come to accept the idea that I’m on more of a reality show than a real-estate show.”

How the ‘Selling Sunset’ cast members talk privately to each other

The cast members of Selling Sunset have had a number of explosive conversations on air. However, they also talk privately to each other while filming.

According to Express, Fitzgerald and her castmates “cover” their microphones, which are usually attached to them. She explained, “We do that if we want to say something that is a secret in-between scenes.”

She also shared that the real estate agents are now comfortable with filming.

“We’re kind of professionals now with filming,” she said. “Before, we didn’t really know what was going on. We get our microphones and we had to make sure if a camera was there… I wasn’t used to being in front of the camera so I would get so nervous. Now you just go in and you forget they are there most of the time and we forget we’ve got our microphones on.”

‘Selling Sunset’ is filming seasons 4 and 5
