Selling Sunset Season 5 featured a lot less of Vanessa Villela and fans wondered if she and Christine Quinn had a falling out.

Villela had a very limited appearance on Selling Sunset Season 5 because she had coronavirus (Covid-19) but that doesn’t mean her friendship or loyalties ultimately changed.

Vanessa Villela said things didn’t get better for Christine Quinn

Villela said Selling Sunset Season 5 was “unfortunate” for her, but also how things worked out with Quinn.

“Well, I mean, it was unfortunate that you know, still, things were still in, you know, in, in a bad place and that, unfortunately, things didn’t get better with Christine,” she said on the Behind the Velvet Rope with David Yontef podcast.

“I’m the kind of friend that I will always try to help my friends,” she continued. “And I obviously failed cause I sensed a lot of pain on her side with, you know, with, with the situation with Mary [Fitzgerald] and Heather’s [Young], especially with them.”

Christine didn’t do herself any favors on ‘Selling Sunset’ Season 5

That being said, Villela said Quinn lashing out at the others didn’t help her position either. “So I try to make them communicate, but there’s a lot of history,” she said. “And I feel that also Christine, she didn’t really, do the things that she told me that she will do. And then she continued doing things that will hurt the girls.”

“So it was a little unfortunate to watch that and see that I wasn’t there to even …” she trailed off. “I mean I don’t know if I would’ve continued trying to do anything because I can give you as a friend, my advice. But I think that she’s strong enough to know what’s wrong and what’s right.”

“And she’s strong enough to defend herself and say the thing that she wants to say,” she added. “I’m always unconditional for my friends and I’ll always be there for them. But I will not tell you like, oh, you’re doing great when I can see that you’re not doing that.  And vice versa. That’s what I want for my friends too. You know, not, I don’t want my friends to just my loyalty or my, or anything. I just, I just want my friends to know that I’m their friend that I’m there for them. And I just want honestly, honesty and truth and love and support.”

Have Christine and Vanessa talked since ‘Selling Sunset’ Season 5?

Villela said she’s actually Team Christine. “I think she’s amazing,” she said. “And everyone is just doing their own thing, you know? I mean, I really, I’ve seen her a beautiful side, her funny side and I think she’s incredible and I really hope and wish that she will bring more of that in her, in her life because she, she can be like, you know, I have had incredible times with her at night.”

That being Villela and Quinn haven’t been in close touch since Selling Sunset Season 5.  “I mean, she’s extremely busy with her, you know, now her own thing with, with the real estate, you know, like partnerships on her makeup line and the shoe line and all these things and the baby,” she explained.

“So I haven’t seen her and I haven’t spoken to her for maybe four weeks or five weeks, we were messaging each other before a little bit more,” she added. “And I think that it’s just like, we’re both busy and we haven’t had the time to really sit and talk. I’m sure that the time will come because, you know, I always liked to speak with her. I’m not, I’m not, I don’t have anything against her. So if she wants to get together and if this is what it is, Christine, you know that I love you. And so call me anytime and hopefully, we can, we can get together.”
