[SPOILER ALERT: Spoilers ahead for Selling Sunset Season 5 Episode 2.]
Jason and Chrishell’s relationship is the talk of The O Group
Back from their trip to Mykonos, Chrishell returns to the office for a realtionship Q&A. Giddy over their now-public relationship, Davina Potratz, Heather Rae El Moussa, Emma Hernan, and Maya Vander want details.
Chrishell regales her coworkers of the days when “J-Shell” was in its infancy. Allegedly Jason admitted his feelings for her at Heather’s engagement party. “You guys know Jason,” Chrishell gushes. “He’s the first person to say he’s a lifelong bachelor, so that’s why [dating him] never crossed my mind.”
She elaborates: “I didn’t think about it until he actually kissed me.” Maya is every Selling Sunset fan wondering, “How was it?”
Later in “Bad Blood,” Davina questions the perks of Chrishell’s relationship with Jason when Brett Oppenheim co-lists a $10 million property with Chrishell. As Davina points out to cameras, it’s tough landing a $10 million listing.
Chelsea Lazkani pleads her case in ‘Selling Sunset’ episode ‘New Blood’
In the second episode, Christine meets with Jason and the two discuss her return to The Oppenheim Group. She also springs a surprise meet and greet with Chelsea Lazkani on him.
“She’s looking for a place to hang her license,” Chrishell says. Since bringing Emma and Vanessa Villela on as agents, Jason’s not in the market to hire anyone new. But he’s intrigued by Chelsea’s knowledge of Manhattan Beach, and his past working with Chelsea’s husband Jeff doesn’t hurt.
“We’re talking about some of the most exclusive, luxurious beachfront properties — some of them run north of 20-30 million,” Chelsea teases. Jason’s willing to give Chelsea a desk if she can bring him a listing.
Christine calls Chrishell and Jason’s relationship ‘incestual’ in ‘New Blood’
“When I first heard about Jason and Chrishell, I was a little confused,” Christine tells cameras in “Bad Blood.” She cites Chrishell’s Instagram post from July 2021.
“I believe she captioned it ‘The JLo effect,'” Christine elaborates. “But that’s when you were dating someone prior, you took a break, and then you date them again.”
Later in the episode, Christine meets up with Amanza Smith and calls Chrishell and Jason’s relationship “incestual.” Amanza confronts Christine about her comments, including what she alluded to in an interview with TMZ.
“I think the second she walked into the office, it was definitely love at first sight,” Christine told the outet in August 2021. “I think there were sparks flying.” When asked how long Chrishell and Jason were “flirty,” the Selling Sunset star pled the fifth.
Later in “New Blood,” Chrishell gets frustrated by Christine’s comments. “For her to even give an opinion … when she didn’t know about the relationship before [and] she doesn’t know about the relationship now,” Chrishell says at a dinner far from Christine.
She continues: “The girl couldn’t see a house if her f***ing soul depended on it. When’s the last dollar she brought to the brokerage? … you should fire her.”
Jason claims he knows how to handle the agents in his office and leaves it at that. Christine returns to The Oppenheim Group at the end of the episode.
