‘Selling Sunset’ Spoiler: Chrishell Gives Jason a Baby Ultimatum
Selling Sunset Season 5 started with a new couple. But it didn’t take long for a potential problem to come between Chrishell Stause and Jason Oppenheim. Here is the baby ultimatum she gave him and how it ended.

Season 5’s first episode showed everyone in the office talking about seeing a different side of Jason. Maya Vander revealed a comment that he made.
“But also, you know, when we went to his dinner party, and we start talking about kids,” she said. “All of a sudden, he was like, ‘I really want to have a kid. I think I’m ready.’ I’m like ‘Wow.’ I’m like ‘Who is this?’”
Davina Potratz heard him also change his tune about fatherhood. “The Jason that I know was just more casually dating and not really in long-term relationships,” she said. “I don’t think he ever saw that for himself.” The realtors had a theory that Chrishell was changing him.

“She’s Your Problem Too” ended with Chrishell and Jason having a private conversation about their future. She told him that her doctor said they could expect their results from a fertility procedure that week. She already had her eggs extracted.
“I really have never been with a better woman or felt just more happy and comfortable in a relationship,” he told her. “No way. That part, there are many considerations that I’m going through and thinking about. But the part about you? That’s off the table, ‘cause I already know without a question you would be an exceptional mom.”
Chrishell asked what he’s wavering on when it comes to having a baby. “I guess for someone as analytical as me and who just likes to gather information and make informed decisions,” he said. “This decision, I feel like it’s hard for me.”
Jason said he talked to his father about it for two hours, and it would be nice to have someone to pass down The Oppenheim Group to. He asked her what it meant to have a child to her.
Chrishell said she previously tried to make a relationship work with someone who doesn’t want kids, and now she has to be honest with herself. “If you decide that you don’t want to be a father, I don’t think I could go forward with you,” she told him.

The season ended with the episode “Nothing Remains The Same.” Jason talked about his important decision with Amanza Smith and Mary Fitzgerald.
“If I’m gonna have a kid, I wanna have that ‘I really want this’ type of thing, and that pendulum is not going over there yet,” he said. But he also said he didn’t want to end his relationship with Chrishell. Jason said he’s overwhelmed with his professional responsibilities at the moment.
Chrishell later met with Emma Hernan and revealed Jason told her that he doesn’t want a kid, so they broke up. She admitted to being disappointed. Chrishell said she doesn’t know if they could keep working together because she needs space to detach. Fans will have to wait for next season to see if she’ll be at The Oppenheim Group.
