‘Selling Sunset’ Star Heather Rae Young Reveals She Won’t Spend Mother’s Day With Tarek El Moussa’s 2 Children
Selling Sunset star Heather Rae Young revealed that she won’t be spending Mother’s Day with Tarek El Moussa’s kids. Her Flip or Flop star husband has two children from his previous marriage to Christina Haack. Selling Sunset star Heather Rae Young frequently gives fans a glimpse of her life with husband Tarek El Moussa and his two children, 11-year-old Taylor and 6-year-old Brayden. She often posts sweet photos and videos of the family on social media.
Young said she loves being a “bonus mommy” to El Moussa’s kids in a March 19 Instagram post. “My favorite thing is waking Tay & Bray up in the morning giving them big hugs and kisses and seeing their sweet smiles,” she wrote in the caption. “I love being a bonus mommy and I’m so proud of them.” She also referred to the children as her “besties” in the caption.
Young also called El Moussa’s kids her “best friends” in a Jan. 27 Instagram post. “I got so lucky with these kids and the situation I came into back in 2019,” she captioned a series of family photos. “They are so loving and smart and very very strong minded (like their father) pushing me some days and It’s not always perfect, it’s very hard some days. But these kiddos are one of the reason I want to want to [sic] have a baby.”
She added, “I told Tarek the other day they really are my best friends. ❤️”

On May 4, Heather Rae Young revealed that she would not be spending Mother’s Day with Tarek El Moussa’s two children. The holiday falls on Sunday, May 8, 2022. El Moussa shares custody with his ex, so the children will likely be with Christina Haack. Haack is currently embroiled in a custody battle over her 2-year-old son with her second husband, Ant Anstead.
Young shared a photo of a large bouquet of white and yellow flowers to her Instagram Stories. “Aweee,” she wrote over the picture, along with two white heart emojis and a smiling face with hearts emoji. “Flowers from my beautiful step kids celebrating an early Mother’s Day.”
The Netflix star went on to write, “Unfortunately this year I don’t get to see them on Mother’s day, but so excited to kiss and love on them today.”
In her May 5 Instagram Stories, Young wrote, “Kids made me breakfast And [sic] an adorable poster board and diamond earrings.”

Although Heather Rae Young initially didn’t want to have children of her own with Tarek El Moussa, she changed her mind and said she “can’t wait” to have a baby with her husband.
On Mar. 23, the Selling Sunset star posted a photo to her Instagram Stories of her holding what appeared to be a friend’s baby. In the caption, she wrote that the infant “makes me even more ready for my own.”
In the next slide, Young posted a picture of El Moussa feeding the infant a bottle. She captioned it, “I can’t wait to have a baby with you!”
But on Apr. 22, the Netflix star told Page Six that she isn’t ready to have a baby. “I have a lot of things coming up and a lot to prepare for,” the 34-year-old said. “Already having two kids and balancing work and life and family – just everything. I just felt like my body’s not ready.”
Young added that she wants to go into pregnancy feeling “very excited, not stressed, not feeling overwhelmed,” and that she is “just not at that place right now.”
