‘Selling Sunset’ Star Heather Rae Young Worries About How She Will Explain Naked Playboy Photos to Tarek El Moussa’s Children
Selling Sunset star Heather Rae Young said she has no regrets about posing naked for Playboy before becoming a TV personality and marrying Flip or Flop star Tarek El Moussa. But she admits she worries about explaining the risqué photos to her two stepchildren. Heather Rae Young was named Playboy’s Playmate of the Month in February 2010. She is open about her past experience with the men’s magazine, but her life is very different now.
Young is best known for her work as a real estate agent and Netflix star, and she is married to Flip or Flop star Tarek El Moussa. She said that working for Playboy got her to where she is now.
In November 2021, Young told The Sun that posing naked for Playboy “was the defining moment of her life.”
“It catapulted my career, it changed my life, it was the most defining moment in my life,” Young said. “I don’t regret anything I’ve ever done. I’m proud of my life. Everything I’ve done has got me to where I am today.”
Young is the stepmother to El Moussa’s two children with his ex-wife, Christina Haack. She considers herself a “bonus mommy” to 11-year-old Taylor and 6-year-old Brayden. And she admitted that she worries about explaining her Playboy past to them.
“I’m still trying to figure out how I’m going to tell the kids I did Playboy,” she said.
Heather Rae Young said that sometimes people mistakenly judge her as ‘stupid’ because she posed naked for Playboy
The Selling Sunset star also confessed that her Playboy past makes some people “judge” her and question her intelligence.
“Some people judge me right away. Like, men expect me to be a little Barbie doll and be stupid,” Young told Playboy in May 2020. “Men will meet me and say, ‘Wow, you’re actually smart.’ And I’m like, Well, what did you think? Because I’m a Playmate, or a model, or a woman, I can’t be smart as well?”
She went on to say that all the Playmates she has ever known are hard-working and ambitious. “All the Playmates I’ve ever met have so much going on. We’re not slutty like people think,” Young explained. “We have husbands, boyfriends, children, ambitions, and some people don’t realize that until they sit down and start talking to us.”

Although Heather Rae Young said she doesn’t regret anything from her past, the Selling Sunset star also revealed that she wouldn’t want Tarek El Moussa’s daughter to follow in her footsteps.
“That would be a Daddy question, for sure,” she told The Sun. “I’m sure Daddy would say no, but, um, you know, Taylor is such an entertainer. She is meant to be on TV. She filmed with me for Selling Sunset and she films with me and Tarek for Flipping 101.”
Young added that while her stepdaughter could be a model, she wouldn’t want her to pose for Playboy. “She’ll absolutely be a model but not doing what I did.”
