Seth Rogen’s Wife Wants Kids Even Less Than Him
Seth Rogen has never been one to shy away from speaking his truth. The Neighbors actor is known for playing over the top characters on screen and giving personal anecdotes about his real-life off-screen. However, Rogen is a bit more tight-lipped about his relationship with his wife, Lauren Miller. But now Rogen is opening up about why he doesn’t feel the need to expand his family by having kids.
As Rogen and Miller have been married for quite some time (the couple tied the knot back in 2011) many people are curious about if and when the actors will have kids. Thanks to outdated societal expectations, some folks still believe that all couples need to have children. However, Rogen and his wife are perfectly content with a life without kids. In fact, in a recent interview with The Howard Stern Show Rogen shared that his current lifestyle would be impossible if he had kids.
Seth Rogen reveals why he and his wife never want kids
“I wouldn’t be able to do all this work that I like,” Rogen declared. “People are always like — it’s something I think I was uncomfortable answering this before — but they were like, ‘How do you do so much?’ The answer is I don’t have kids I have nothing else to do.” Continuing on, Rogen added that he and Miller are in total agreement about not having kids. “She doesn’t want kids,” the Knocked Up actor shared about his wife. “I would say she wants kids less than I do.”
Rogen then shared that he and his wife truly get a ton of joy out of their child-free life. “We have so much fun,” the actor revealed. “I don’t know anyone who gets as much happiness out of their kids as we get out of our non-kids. Like we’re fu*king psyched all the time. We’re lying in bed Saturday morning, smoking weed, watching movies naked – if we had kids we could not be fu*king doing this. There is no one whose child is giving them as much joy as we are right now getting because we do not have a kid.”

Stern then took it upon himself to share some of the sacrifices of parenting. “You can’t be narcissistic, you have to give yourself over to parenting, and they’ve gotta become the priority,” Stern stated. Rogen was quick to share that what Stern was describing didn’t sound at all appealing. “Yeah, like, I don’t want that,” the popular comedian stated candidly. “That does not sound fun to me.”
“And why?” Rogen continued. “There’s enough kids out there. We need more people? Who looks at the planet right now and thinks ‘You know what we need right now? More fu*king people.’ That’s truly a confounding thing to me.” Clearly, Rogen and his wife are loving their child-free life. We hope that this helps other couples feel more emboldened to speak freely about their decisions to have kids or not.
