Seventeen Announce Album ‘Face the Sun’ Will Drop on May 27
Seventeen will be releasing their fourth studio album in the coming weeks. The K-pop group‘s new album Face the Sun will drop on May 27. Face the Sun will include Seventeen’s first English-language single “Darl+ing,” which was released on April 15.
Seventeen’s new album is called ‘Face the Sun’
On April 21 at 11 a.m. EDT and midnight KST on April 22, Seventeen announced the title of their fourth studio album is Face the Sun.
It was already confirmed that Seventeen’s next album would be released in May, and Seventeen’s announcement revealed that the album will officially be released on May 27 at midnight EDT.
Not much is known about Face the Sun so far, but in the album’s official announcement, Seventeen shared the cover art for the album which depicts different photos.
According to a press release:
“In contrast to the mellow, pastel-colored aesthetics the act recently presented through the pre-release track ‘Darl+ing,’ the stills of a staircase, ropes, the sun, a map and a structure laid across the teaser imply a more muted but multi-faceted shade to the stories to unfold.
Opening their new chapter with ‘Darl+ing’ earlier this month, the team of 13 creatives hinted that the upcoming album will tell stories they hold closer to their hearts than ever, imbued with thoughts and feelings they have kept to themselves until now.”
Seventeen shared a comeback schedule for ‘Face the Sun’
Leading up to the release of Face the Sun, Seventeen will release multiple teasers for the album. On April 24 at 11 a.m. EDT and midnight KST on April 25, the K-pop group shared a promotion schedule for the album on social media.
On April 27 and May 9, a trailer for Face the Sun will drop at midnight KST. From May 11 until May 16, Seventeen will release a series of teaser photos for the album.
The first set of teaser photos called “ep. 1 Control” will be released on May 11 at midnight KST. On May 12 at midnight KST, “ep. 2 Shadow” photos will drop. At midnight KST on May 13, “ep. 3 Ray” will be shared online.
Seventeen will release “ep. 4 Path” photos on May 14 at midnight KST. On May 15 and May 16 at midnight KST, the band will share “ep. 5 Pioneer” photos online.
According to the promotion schedule, the official tracklist for Face the Sun will be released on May 18 at midnight KST. On May 23 at midnight KST, a highlight medley for the album will be shared with fans.
Music video teasers for the album’s lead single will be released at midnight KST on May 24 and May 25.
Face the Sun and the official music video for the album’s lead single will then drop at midnight EDT on May 27.

On April 15, S.Coups, Wonwoo, Mingyu, Vernon, Jeonghan, Joshua, Woozi, DK, Seungkwan, Jun, Hoshi, The8, and Dino released “Darl+ing,” their first English-language single.
The K-pop group’s first movie Seventeen Power of Love: The Movie was released worldwide in movie theaters on April 20 and April 23,
