Shailene Woodley’s Vaccination Status Called Into Question Following Aaron Rodgers’ Testing Positive for COVID-19
Shailene Woodley and Aaron Rodgers haven’t been together for more than a couple of years, but their relationship has been jam-packed with controversy. The unconventional actor and the Green Bay Packers quarterback aren’t shy about detailing their love life for fans and followers, and in February 2021, they revealed that they had gotten engaged.
In recent days, the two have been in the news again, when Rodgers revealed that he has tested positive for coronavirus (COVID-19). In the wake of the backlash regarding Rodgers’ diagnosis, many fans have been discussing Woodley’s own vaccination status, taking to Twitter to debate the clues that she’s left about her lifestyle.
Aaron Rodgers recently announced that he tested positive for COVID-19
On November 3, Rodgers announced that he has tested positive for coronavirus. As reported by ESPN, Rodgers is currently considered unvaccinated by the NFL and NFL Players Association and is in a 10-day minimum quarantine. There has been a lot of controversy regarding Rodgers’ stance on coronavirus, with the athlete revealing in a recent interview that he is allergic to some of the ingredients in the vaccine. Rodgers even stated that he underwent a treatment designed to raise his immunity and appealed to the NFL to be considered vaccinated but noted that he lost the appeal.
“I believe strongly in bodily autonomy and the ability to make choices for your body, not to have to acquiesce to some woke culture or crazed group of individuals who say you have to do something,” Rodgers said, refuting the idea that he is spreading misinformation.
However, in August 2021, Rodgers had commented that he is “immunized,” when asked if he was fully vaccinated, a statement that Rodgers now claims was not a lie.
“During that time, it was a witch hunt that was going on across the league, where everybody in the media was so concerned about who was vaccinated and who wasn’t and what that meant and who was being selfish and who would talk about it, what it meant if they said it’s a personal decision and they shouldn’t have to disclose their own medical information,” Rodgers said, as reported by ESPN.
Fans are questioning Shailene Woodley’s vaccination status
In light of Rodgers’ recent diagnosis and admission, many fans are wondering whether Woodley, Rodgers’ fiancé, has chosen to get the coronavirus vaccine. Fans have taken to social media to debate the issue, with some defending Woodley and claiming that she must have gotten the vaccine in order to film in several countries.
As reported by Awesemo, one fan wrote on Twitter “Smh men don’t know anything about pop culture. Of COURSE Aaron Rodgers isn’t vaccinated, because there is no way Shailene Woodley believes in vaccines.”
Another posted “My theory is that Shailene Woodley isn’t vaccinated so this alleged Aaron Rodgers news tracks.”
Several fans noted that Woodley has been very open about her natural lifestyle in the past, and has admitted to eschewing medicines and many traditional therapies, lending weight to the theory that she might not be vaccinated.
Shailene Woodley has been caught in controversy related to Aaron Rodgers in the past
Woodley and Rodgers went public with their relationship in February 2021, announcing that they were engaged after keeping much of the early days of their romance under wraps, and ever since then, fans have been fascinated with the dynamics of their romance. According to Page Six, Woodley has raved about her partner, stating “He’s, first off, just a wonderful, incredible human being.”
Although the two are as happy as can be, Woodley has been caught in the crossfire by some excitable NFL fans in the past. Notably, Rodgers’ less-than-stellar performance in the 2021 NFL season has prompted some fans to blame Woodley for Rodgers’ bad start.
“Aaron Rodgers sucks today. To [sic] much Shailene Woodley clouding up his mind and not enough football,” one critic wrote on Twitter in September. The criticism has continued, with several others slamming the relationship. For Woodley and Rodgers, the pressure is nothing new – although this latest controversy is quite possibly the biggest yet.
