‘Sister Wives’ Fans Wonder Why Kody Brown’s First Wife Meri Brown Is ‘Always Alone’
Sister Wives fans are concerned about Meri Brown. People who follow the TLC star on Instagram have noticed that she seems to be posting a lot of solo shots of herself. In particular, they’ve realized that she rarely seems to spend time with her husband Kody Brown or with her other sister wives: Robyn Brown, Christine Brown, and Janelle Brown. A few are wondering what’s going on with Meri and Kody and if the two are even still together.

Speculation about the status of Meri’s relationship with Kody is nothing new. Fans have been wondering for years why the 49-year-old doesn’t leave her spiritual husband for good. (The two divorced in 2014 so Kody could marry fourth wife Robyn and adopt her kids from a previous relationship.) They think he doesn’t love her anymore and that Meri should cut ties with him and the rest of her large family.
Questions about Meri and Kody again bubbled to the surface when she shared a photo of herself cuddling with a cute pooch. Some commenters on the June 25 post cooed over the dog, who is named Mosby and belong to her daughter Mariah. But others took the opportunity to discuss her personal life.
Meri’s followers have questions about Kody
Commenters on the post were quick to point out that Meri was all alone in the photo she shared.
“Are you still married?” one asked. “You are always alone in the photos without any family member….?”
“You deserve some human cuddles too,” another wrote, while someone else told her she “need[ed] a man.”
Others asked why she never shared pictures of herself and Kody together and wondered if the two were even still together.
Others defended Meri
Not all of Meri’s social media followers think she owes people an explanation for what’s going on with Kody. One stepped up to express frustration that people kept hijacking Meri’s posts with their comments about her relationship.
“Why oh WHY can’t people EVER just comment on the photo shared????” the person asked. “Y’all feel a need to comment on stuff that has NOTHING to do with the pic.”
Meri herself seems like she might be getting fed up with the constant criticism and questions. While she left comments open on the dog post, she’s turned them off on several other recent Instagram updates.
While some people are curious about why Meri isn’t spending more time with her family, a few on social media seem happy to see her on her own.
“You look so much happier,” one person commented. “I’m so glad you are living your life the way you want to… perhaps the way you’ve always wanted to.”
