Sister Wives fans are worried that Kody is headed for a breakdown from the stress the coronavirus has put on the family.

During the Jan 2nd episode of Sister Wives, Kody gathers his four wives to talk about the plans for the holidays, specifically Thanksgiving. Janelle and Christine decided that they wouldn’t abide by the strict coronavirus rules that Kody has enforced on the family. Thus, they will be spending Thanksgiving separately from Kody. Christine will be traveling to Aspyn and Mitch’s house in Utah for Thanksgiving. Janelle is also considering going to Utah to spend the holiday with Christine in Utah.
Kody was noticeably upset during this discussion. He said, “They’re all saying they want to get back together, but Christine has made it clear to me now that she would rather be with Aspyn and Mitch and Tony and Mykelti than with me. And Janelle is indicating by her actions that she would rather have the boys around than me.”
He tells his four wives, “But I am not telling you how to live your life anymore. You guys are independent women. You can do whatever you want.” He ends the speech, “No guilt trip. Just a little prick to your conscience, and you guys decide what to do.” He then smiles maniacally and says, “That’s all I have got to say about that. I hope everyone enjoys their Thanksgiving.”

Another fan wasn’t sure if Kody is actually doing that bad mentally or if he’s playing up the anger for the cameras. The Reddit user wrote, “I’m torn between him grimacing one more time and going full postal vs. him faking it for TLC bucks.”
Another Reddit post was made, showing the moment in the Jan 2nd episode when Kody tells his wives to “enjoy” their Thanksgiving celebrations. Kody admits COVID-19 has negatively impacted his mental health
This season of Sister Wives has confirmed that Kody has been staying completely with Robyn during the pandemic, as she’s the only wife who’s willing to follow the strict coronavirus rules. Robyn mentioned to Janelle that it’s been challenging to have him around all of the time because he’s so “unhappy.”
Earlier this season, Robyn has mentioned to cameras that Kody has confided in her about his mental health. She says that the coronavirus pandemic has caused Kody massive amounts of stress. Mostly, he is upset when his wives do not follow his protocol.
Sister Wives fans are concerned that Kody will snap after seeing the strange way he was acting at this family meeting. Sister Wives Season 16 airs Sundays on TLC and discovery+.
