‘Sister Wives’: Janelle Brown, Christine Brown Rub Shoulders With Other Reality Stars at LA Event
These sister wives are hobnobbing with the stars. Janelle Brown and Christine Brown of TLC’s Sister Wives were guests at Us Weekly and Pluto TV’s Reality Stars of the Year Party on Oct. 10 in Los Angeles.
A who’s who of reality TV personalities descended on The Highlight Room to celebrate Us Weekly’s top 11 reality stars of the year. The honorees included RHOBH’s Kyle Richards, The Bachelorette’s Jenn Tran, Frankie Paul from The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives, and Victoria Kalina from America’s Sweethearts: Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders.
The ‘Sister Wives’ stars have a message for Kody Brown
Janelle and Christine were all smiles at the event. On the red carpet, they chatted with a reporter from Access Hollywood about the latest season of Sister Wives.
In season 19, both Janelle and Christine are focused on moving on from their relationships with ex-husband Kody Brown. Christine is now happily remarried to David Wooley. The pair recently celebrated their first anniversary with a low-key dinner at their favorite restaurant, she said.
Christine has cut ties with her former husband and his last remaining wife, Robyn Brown, and it’s clear there are still some lingering bad feelings. When asked if she had a message for the pair, Christine didn’t mince words.
“Have fun together,” she said sarcastically. (Christine recently sued her ex for custody of and child support for their 14-year-old daughter Truely.)
Janelle had a mellower response. “I’m good,” she said. “I’m really like, ‘Please, go forward. Let’s all be peaceful and have a good life.’”
“Be happy,” Christine chimed in. “They don’t seem very happy. I want them to just be happy. You have each other. You deserve each other. Please just enjoy your life.”

Janelle and Christine weren’t the only TLC stars at the event. Yara Zaya and Jovi Dufren from 90 Day Fiancé were in attendance, along with Gabriella Vigorito and her mom Catherine Valasso-Vigorito from sMothered, Matt and Kelly McAdams from I Love a Mama’s Boy, and 90 Day Fiancé alum Shekinah Garner.
Janelle and Christine also posed for a photo with Abby Lee Miller from Dance Moms.
In an Instagram post, Christine said that she and Janelle “had a blast” at the event and were excited to meet “more of our @tlc family!! We were honored to be invited!”
There was no shortage of reality TV icons old and new at the Us Weekly event. Heidi Montag and her husband Spencer Pratt mugged for the cameras, as did Vanderpump Rules alums Brittany Cartwright and Kristen Doute.
Brittany’s ex Jax Taylor also showed up, looking stone-faced. Meanwhile, Tarek and Heather Rae El Moussa indulged in some PDA on the red carpet.
Karen Huger from The Real Housewives of Potomac posed for a photo with Cynthia Bailey and Drew Sidora from The Real Housewives of Atlanta. Francesca Farago from Love Is Blind and Perfect Match showed off her baby bump. She’s expecting twins with her fiancé Jesse Sullivan.
