‘Sister Wives’: Janelle Brown Questions if She Still Chooses ‘Plural Marriage’ with Kody
On the Jan. 9 episode of Sister Wives, Janelle Brown admits questioning if she still chooses plural marriage with Kody Brown. After spending a peaceful Thanksgiving separated from the rest of the family, she finds herself wondering if plural marriage is still right for her and her children.
‘Sister Wives’ have separate Thanksgiving celebrations with their own families
The Brown family was split up into three families during Thanksgiving 2020. Since Kody’s strict coronavirus (COVID-19) rules made it, Janelle had to choose between spending the holiday with her older sons, Garrison and Gabriel Brown, or Kody. She chose her sons. Janelle followed Christine’s lead and chose to see her children over being with the rest of the family. Robyn, Meri, Kody, and Robyn’s five children spend the holiday in Flagstaff. However, Janelle went to her sister’s house in Utah. Christine also went to Utah to spend Thanksgiving at her daughter, Aspyn’s house.
Janelle questions if she still chooses the ‘plural marriage’ lifestyle
Could it be that Janelle regrets her decision to be in a plural family? According to the preview for the Jan 16 episode of Sister Wives, Janelle is talking to Robyn about the family’s future. Robyn says, “COVID has sort of pulled this blanket off of some of our issues.”
Janelle agrees, “I actually think so too.” Robyn says, “These things were there before this.” Janelle admits to her sister wife, “I’ve caught myself in the last few weeks, kind of reflecting. Do I still choose plural marriage?”
Is Janelle going to be the next to leave Kody?
On Sister Wives, Janelle feels torn between her children and Kody. Since Kody implemented strict rules, Janelle’s children haven’t been able to see Kody unless socially distanced.
Kody has often told her that she needs to kick out their older sons since they have jobs outside of the home. Janelle refused, and Kody has stopped coming over to her house because of that.
She said, “If I had to choose between my kids and Kody, I’m gonna choose my kids. I just am.”
It’s been very hard on Janelle to be all alone during the pandemic. She says, “I mean, I miss him. I think it’s horrible that he doesn’t come over or hasn’t come over very often this summer.”
So could Janelle be the next to leave Kody? Based on the fact that she’s in the same mindset as Christine, it wouldn’t be outrageous for Janelle to pick her kids (and Christine) over Kody and the rest of the family. Sister Wives airs Sundays on TLC and discovery+.
