‘Sister Wives’: Janelle Brown Reveals Son Hunter Plans to Become a Nurse
Janelle Brown is one proud mama. The Sister Wives star took to Instagram on July 31 to congratulate her son Hunter on his graduation from the Air Force Academy and share some exciting news about his career plans.
Hunter Brown graduated from the Air Force Academy in April
Hunter was one of nearly 1,000 cadets who graduated from the Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs earlier this year. Unfortunately, his mom and dad weren’t able to attend the in-person ceremony in April due to coronavirus (COVID-19) restrictions. Instead, they had to watch a livestream of the event, which Janelle documented on Instagram.
“This year is full of the unusual and bittersweet,” his mom captioned the post. “Not how we imagined we would be watching Hunter commission and graduate, but here we are. Big graduation ceremony tomorrow.”
The 23-year-old son of Kody Brown is at home in Arizona now, and he just received his diploma in the mail. Janelle showed off the impressive plaque on social media.
“Hunter got his diploma in the mail yesterday,” she wrote. “Distinguished Graduate (top 10%) from the US Air Force Academy. We are so proud of him.”
Janelle Brown’s son plans to become a nurse
Now the Hunter has completed his undergraduate degree, he’s ready to take the next step in his life. Janelle revealed that he will soon be moving across the country to attend Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, where he’ll earn a master’s degree in nursing.
In the meantime, Hunter has been spending time with his family near Flagstaff, which makes his mom pretty happy. On social media, she’s shared several photos of him handing out with his siblings during the pandemic lockdown.
“It’s been a fun bonus for this mama to have him home for 3 months this summer,” Janelle wrote in her most recent post. “That was unplanned. But the time is drawing close for him to leave and he will never again be home for this long of a time. It’s very bittersweet.”
‘Sister Wives’ fans are proud of Hunter
Sister Wives fans couldn’t be more excited about Hunter’s accomplishments. The US Air Force Academy is one of the most selective schools in America, accepting just 11% of all applicants, according to U.S. News & World Report. Johns Hopkins has the top-ranked master’s program in nursing in the country, according to the magazine’s rankings.
Many on Instagram praised Janelle for raising such a successful child and congratulated her and Hunter.
“Well done. Congratulations to Hunter and proud mama Janelle!” one wrote.
“I feel like I watched him grow up! So proud of him and happy for your family,” another commented.
